Hello DeucesCracked Users and Coaches,

I play NL50 and NL100 and absolutely do not like my way of playing at the moment. I would like to change my game and I hate the good LAG players because I have no idea how their style works.

For example "MayBeIAmALeo" plays NL200 on iPoker and crushes the game with 30/27 and a shitload of aggression. I would like to try out a style like that to see if it fits to me and I feel comfortable with it, but I have no idea how.

Also I am asking myself if that is a good way to beat NL100/NL200 and above?

Any recommendations? Any DC coaches "teaching" this kind of play?

thx
Chris

PS: does not need to be 30/27 but I would like to play different then all the 15/12 to 18/15 regs that play 10 tables

PS: some good 22/19 or so style would be very nice for me as well

Definitely check out mdm13. I don't think he's available right now, but if you request him you'll have priority when spots become available.

He's done a couple of videos that are very good. You should check them out.

I ultimately think that 30/27 is fairly exploitable by good players, so I don't think it's optimal for MSNL and up, but it definitely works at a site like iPoker where the players are very passive and there isn't much 3betting. Would also work at SSNL on most every site.

I would recommend that you conceptualize preflop play not as a "style" but as situational. In certain game conditions, it's optimal to run very, very loose. In others a more standard 20/17 style is preferrable.

If you are interested in learning how to open up your game, I can definitely help you. mdm13 is also a great player who is capable of very loose aggressive play. You can check out his video for a good example of fairly LAG play at 100NL.

It's also important to understand that opening up your game is also going to put you in a lot of unfamiliar spots postflop, which is where the LAG really makes his living off his superior hand-reading. If you commit yourself to opening up your game, you'll really need to focus on hand-reading. LAGGY play isn't just about clicking buttons preflop
