I recently made the decision to make the switch from Sit and Gos over to PL/NL Omaha 8/b. Early on, I found the In a Nutshell video series and benefited from the content of Danzasmack and YeahThatsMe. In the decision to take poker more seriously, I contacted YeahThatsMe (Derek) to start coaching.

Over the last two and a half weeks we have had 4 sessions (2 theory and 2 student sweats). For starters, YTM has an intense, in depth knowledge of PL/NL Omaha 8/b. He is not only a winning player, but is able to articulate a game that can be confusing to say the least. I have benefited greatly from hand history and sweat session discussion regarding hand ranges and lines that I had never before considered.


So, I guess you want to know what exactly has changed since starting coaching:


1) My VPIP has dropped by 13%

2) My redline no longer is a downward 45 degree angle

3) Despite running 3 Buyins under All In EV, I have still managed +10PTBB/100 since we started

4) I am confident in lines and am starting to stop second guessing +EV plays struck down by run bad


I am more than satisfied with YeahThatsMe as a coach and plan to climb through the stakes under his tutelage. To anyone looking for PL/NL Omaha 8/b coaching, Derek seems like a really good deal. PM me, if you have questions regarding my review and I will be posting updates periodically.
