Is there a reason you'd 3 bet so small? I think a fishy player is either going to call or fold their hand, unless we make it a ridiculously large size. If villain calls a 7bb 3 bet, he probably calls a 10bb 3 bet. If he's going to fold, he's likely folding to either size. I especially want to get more value preflop because I know fish is weaktight postflop, and is going to fold a lot when they miss.
Great video
i would like to have the boardtexture displayed on the alternative page, i think that would be a good way to make it a bit easier to follow, and also i would like to hear you talk a little about how some plays can differ depending on heros image, i dont know if thats supposed to be in this series but i think its worth mentioning in for example the KQ hand on QTx dry board, not saying you have to go into it in to much debt but it Might change heros options a bit.
Other than that, i def like this format Andrew.

Dont think villain is a fishy player in this hand tho.. ?

What would your 3bet range as villain look like here as in example hands? QJo? I assume being oop in all sorts of ways the fish would have to be really really bad for us to start flatting too wide?
This is a great concept cos the what if's and weighing of different options are built in. It would be super awesome if you had the hands on a replayer but that would also limit the scenarios and would be a lot of work obv.
I really like this format.
This series is awesome.
The format forces you to think about what is relevant instead of just going through the motions.
Great job Andrew!!

If villain is giving up on a lot of flops doesn't that make 3betting J8 good as well or are we cutting ourselves?

well, it makes "not folding" good, but we have a few different options to "not fold". In this case, seeing 4 cards and stealing a lot of small pots might be better than 3-bet bluffing.

Round 3
I am amazed with the answer, because I immediately chose Fold. Two way bet means we:
- value bet against Bad Aggro player
- bluff against Good Aggro player
Problem is, I highly doubt QTo is a value bet against Bad Aggro player.
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 42.865% 40.37% 02.49% 2131931760 131666610.00 { QTo }
Hand 1: 57.135% 54.64% 02.49% 2885480556 131666610.00 { JJ-22, AQs-A2s, K9s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, AQo-A8o, KTo+, QTo+, JTo, T9o }
- sqz sizing is way way way too big, it should be around 16-17 bbs (if Bad Aggro will 4bet, you will lose less compared to 25 bbs)
- still, Bad Aggro is not Bad Aggro without a purpose - he is likely to call and then Good Aggro reg gets good pot odds to flat IP with all kinds of SCs and PPs
I mean, it is very likely you will end up either being 4b or playing OOP in a 3way pot, sometimes in HU pot, each time with a pretty poor hand.
yup I would fold QTo as well. If he was a bad passive I can see 3betting being good but in this case he is going to 4bet preflop too often and we have to c/f postflop too often

Could his bluffing frequency matter, because, if he bluff a lot OTT or OTR, this is a valuebet on the flop and vice versa?
Great nex fresh series.. love them.. ![]()
