Should we have a 3bet bluffing range vs an utg open this deep?

A8s+ are good hands to flat with IP on 100 bbs (you dominate some of his hands like T8s, 98s, T9s as well as A2s-A5s if he opens them + you draw to the NFD).
So what's the point in 3-betting and forcing these hands to fold?

At this stack depth I would flat all Axs.

I don't think you can turn a profit calling 3x UT opens with A8 or A9s at 100bbe. i would say domination issues work against us here rather than in our favor (more hands dominate us than we dominate).

The point of 3bing is because it is not a profitable peel at 100bbe.

what is your call open %? have you run filters on how profitable your loose peels have been?

of course. are you thinking along the lines since stacks are deeper our 3b/get it in for value range should be really tight?


I think that thinking is wrong. I 3bet more IP as we get deeper. People will flat 3bs more at this stack depth, and that is good for us. i think this was what OP was getting at when he said

don`t agree that the 3bet is bad b/c of fundamentals of deeplay

can the guys who hate 3bing Axs let me know what their 3b bluffing range vs UT is?

i`d rather 3bet more polarised there in generel, hands like 76s 78s etc. since we are always dominated postflop when called with f.e A9s vs utg - but yea im not saying the 3bet is a big mistake in generel

it is definately bad if we 3bet and call the 4bet with those A9s hands imo, also here IF i call a 4bet i`d rather have hands like 76s 78s too
