UTG is a regular at Party. He is a really nitty fish and I think he has respect for me. In this session I had played a straight forward 24/20 style. Player in the BB is super super nitty running 9/6 over a sample of 350 hands.

So I thought I would try a out of position float since I figured they wouldn't get too fancy. Preflop the call is super super loose. But any low card flop I expect to win the pot, since me flatting from the blinds looks a lot like a small pair.

Party Poker $200 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

CO: $91.00
BTN: $293.35
Hero (SB): $202.00
BB: $278.60
UTG: $495.97
MP: $399.00

Pre Flop: Hero is SB with 6 Heart 5 Spade
UTG raises to $7, 3 folds, Hero calls $6, 1 fold

Flop: ($16.00) 4 Heart K Club J Heart (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $12, Hero calls $12

The flop smacks his range pretty hard. But the J is in my normal range and there are two hearts. So I called planning to fire 2 times on any heart and any jack.

Turn: ($40.00) J Club (2 players)
Hero bets $23, UTG calls $23

River: ($86.00) 7 Club (2 players)
Hero bets $67, UTG folds

So what do you think?

This looks like some super-FPS here. Doing plays like this will just not be profitable in the long run -- you're OOP with a hand that is crushed by your opponent's range, and to make up for that you're going to be bluffing a ton postflop and it's very optimistic to expect to make a profit calling here, even if he is nitty and straightforward.

In position, sure, you can try some of this stuff (although 65o against his UTG range is probably still going to be bad.) But OOP, it's going to be too tough.

Well played. Very brave betting all 3-streets. I think UTG has a busted draw on the river so it works out for you.

But it's pure Sammy Farha here. I think playing like this is probably -EV in the longterm.
