So would you be bet/folding here with an overpair? It seems like you automatically assume he has a set but do you think he doesn't have any semi-bluffs that will also raise the turn?

Very very few semi-bluffs in his range given his preflop peel (not going to have A6 too often) so unless he's turning 88 into a bluff it's a set. I think bet/folding an overpair against a nit here is pretty standard absent reads
Something strange with the audio here? I hear Blah but not Fiend.
nm, I guess it was a solo flight initially.

Hi FWF. I like your idea about 4 betting very wide when we get 3 bet after isolating the limper. However, I think we run into a little bit of a problem though here because we made our isolation too big and then the guy puts in an enormous 3 bet to almost 15BB. Would you still advise a 4 bet here and what sizing?

this doesn't work vs anyone who understands math. Villain can simply control his shoving range and still 3 bet really wide for example they can 3bet/5bet 99+ AQ+ and protect 12-13% 3bet and make our 4 bet bluffs 0EV. 3 bet slightly less or shove slightly wider and every one of our 4bet bluffs becomes -EV.

I think seeing his bluff raising % or in general his AF would be very helpful. Clearly it's a great spot to bluff raise from BB versus SB given how weak our range is, he should probably bluff raise any over cards. That definitely doesn't mean he will, but it seems to me a lot of players will.

So are you saying you do not like FWF idea to 4 bet bluff? What is your opinion on the sizing of the raises in this hand?

Yes, vs any competent villain. Right adjustment vs lots of 3 bets when we iso raise is to iso a tighter range and make sizing smaller. IP we can flat way more 3 bets as well. Sizing of the raise is ok, little on the large side from the villain. If I were to 4 bet I'd just make it 30BB IP, its not like villain can call profitably. He might be priced in equity wise to call vs my range but it doesn't mean a call is +EV for him. There are still 3 more streets of betting after preflop so it will be very difficult for the villain to realize his equity.

I think we disagree more on how often a typical reg bluff 3bets an iso more than anything else. In my experience you face a 3bet way more often when isolating than when openraising and a 4bet works very often

I also would figure that even though he *might* check a draw on the turn rather than bet, he also might check 9x for the same reasons (doesn't want to get blown off his equity if you x/r). The 5 is also a crappy card because 5x checks the turn pretty often imo.
