One thing that I've noticed recently in almost all DC videos is that the resolution appears off. I'd like to download them in full resolution, so you don't have to semi-guess stacksizes etc. Or maybe this is just because it's encoded twice (once when the videos are sent to you and once when you put them on here)? Anyway it looks kinda bad and blocky.

The reason for this is actually because of the series itself -- both Josh's and Vanessa's feature content that was recorded first by a subscriber and then a second time by Josh/Vanessa. Since half of the process is out of our hands, the vids haven't all been recorded using Camtasia or produce using the best setting which you're accustomed to on entirely DC-recorded vids.

I'm working on a better solution for this in future vids and you may see improvements in King for a Day (you'll definitely see improvements in next season in this type of vid). Unfortunately in order to do this type of vid, it's one of the drawbacks -- there's a lot more steps involved in the recording and some of them are out of our hands entirely when requesting member submissions. Hopefully the awesome content more than makes up for it, though.

Great video Josh, I really liked your Poker Stove analysis. I have belonged to CR for a long time, I have watched every NL 6 max video they have. DC has made me so much better of a NL player that it blows my mind. If I had to pick a favorite instructor, it would be so hard, I'm glad I don't have to. Your videos and The Unconventional Wisdom series are the only ones I rated all of them 5 stars. It's good to see someone who strives for excellence all the time. A+

I have a question about 4 bet bluffing. In one place hero opened 23o on the button with Brandi in the blinds. I agree that tightening up our button open range would have been the better move, but you mentioned the only reason to do this would be to 4 bet bluff. Lets say we did 4 bet bluff here, to about $55, are we ever firing a cbet if we get called? If yes, what kind of flops are good to fire on? How much to bet? In general if we 4 bet bluff is it best to give up completely when called, meaning all the value of the 4 bet is in the FE (and the very rare occasions we flop 2 pair+).

well the nice thing about 4-betting 100bb deep is that you're not called all that often. it is not something I ever do, and I think for the most part anyone who does it is making a mistake. some people think they can float in position, and I buy it if they're really good, but I still don't advocate it. but out of position it's just a bad play. but people do bad things all the time, and it does happen from time to time.

first off, if I do c-bet, I'm either pushing or betting 30-40% pot. if I make it 55 preflop (which I think is a little big. if I get 3-bet to 23 I'd usually make it 48-52) at 1/2, the pot is 110 and our stacks are 145. so if I bet 3/4 pot, it's just awkward since that's half my stack. so I either bet 45, push for 145, or check. 45 can be nice if you want to cheaply bluff against someone who has a history of calling 4-bets, or to induce a push when you happen to have a big hand. I'd usually push if I was committed but would rather win the pot than gamble. I think this is a better way to play a big draw.

when they do call, I see a lot of AQ, JJ, TT, less often QQ, and the occasional AA. that's range is pretty evenly balanced so it can be tough to judge what boards help him. so I wouldn't c-bet very much against a tight player without a history of calling 4-bets. maybe K high flops. if the player keeps doing it, or if he is loose (like 30+ vpip), I'll c-bet more often because they're going to have suited connectors and small pocket pairs and fold a lot. the small c-bet is very useful vs. these players.
