I think the problem could be solved by adding a couple more tables.

Anyways, keep it up man, I enjoyed this video.

A great player playing makes for a good vid alone imo. If I can play like that then perfect. I am a fan of whitelime and enjoy his vids. However to make some spots more interesting you could put out a line like "If he had raised me here I would just be calling and probably doing X on the turn because..."

Also some more player analysis would be cool. In this vid you thought that a played who had ~200$ stack at the start of the vid was a potential reg later on in the vid. Simple stuff like this was obvious to the viewer but apparently not to you. The little things make for the best videos fwiw.

Yeah, I can't believe some of the comments against whitelime. Not everyone is an extrovert.

just keep making the videos in your natural style. If you are really stuck for how to fill up dead air time, make some lightsabre noises.

Hey guys,

I probably take lots of situations for granted that you guys want explained. It'd be much easier for me to explain them if you point them out as much as possible so for future videos, I'll know which spots to expand upon.

If you are making a video for the beginners then explain everything, why did you raise KT in position against a limper. And why did you then bet the flop, would it have made any different if the high card would have been a king instead. When he calls what is the first thing you should think about and how would you proceed on some different turn cards. Why do you think it is more value to check the turn and call his river bet instead of 2nd barreling. Is there some other line that also would make sense etc...

If it's for more advanced players then you don't need to explain why you do standard plays really but still need to explain how your game plan is against this specific opponent. I will raise here because he will call me light and if I hit I will be able to get three streets of value. How are you able to pull out a win against the other regulars? How can you abuse the fish without getting abused by the other good players at the table? How do you plan to adjust against the overly aggressive BTN? Why is it better to use a different bet size in this situation? etc...

The most important thing though is to explain your thought process, usually it's not so important exactly what you do in a specific hand it's much more important that you explain how you got to the decision you did.

Try to plan your live session before hand, what do you hope to achieve during this hour? What are you planing to teach the people that is watching this video?

[But during live play it's very important to take the session as it comes though, thats why I think it would be good for you to record three live videos and pick the one that you think went best for next week]

Hope this helps a little Smile

Btw - Don't add more tables, if someone want to see a lot of hands played by good players then go to the forums where there are hundreds of them with a lot better discussion then a player can make live while playing 4 tables.

I'd like 4tabling videos, but this one is good, just add more emphasis like If he raised me I would do that, stuff like that.

Very helpful post. Thanks. The thing is, during hands, I feel like for the most part I do go through reasons for why I'm betting or checking. The dead time is usually when I'm not involved in a hand. Anything in specific you want to hear about in these spots?

Also, the first seven episodes of this season have already been recorded so you won't notice your input being taken into consideration in those.

However, expect some bonus content very soon where I'll try to incorporate your input. Let me know what else you want to see changed because I'll probably start on this tomorrow.

limablanca,

there was a stretch around 40 min in on the left table where you were playing almost every hand due to a rush of cards, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how you might adjust your play based on your image of hyperactivity in that situation.

There are definitely a lot of spots in your videos where I have to guess as to why you made a certain plays, it sort of leaves me thinking "is that why Whitelime did that or was it b/c or this or that..." I watched about 8 minutes earlier and then had to go but I'll make comments on certain situations if they come up here. Your videos certainly aren't terrible, but they also aren't up to par with say...Krantz's. Maybe watching a few of his videos would help you see what people are looking for, he does a very good job of audibly setting up the game dynamic and what he's looking to do vs the lineup.

wow I scrolled down to the comments because I expected there to be heaps of praise. I really can't believe some of these posts. This was absolutely one of the better NL vids to be found online anywhere.

I don't know how much you guys are paying for your memberships, but mine is $30/mo and I'm VERY happy with the quality of Emil's videos and even if they weren't my favorite, I think I could find $30 worth of video somewhere on the site.

When you have spent years training yourself to block everything out, forget the last hand and concentrate on the hand in play it must be as hard as hell to suddenly become a person who chats about a hand he played 5 mins ago.

Best way is probably to record the video then record the audio later. Then you can still say "the reason why I bet this here is because I felt the player was blah blah blah", you could even say "hang on I am going to stop the video here because I want to explain what just happened".

This is something to consider. It may be much easier to explain certain things after the fact.
