Really enjoying these. Learn more than I do from a lot of the longer sweat videos.
BalugaWhale discusses a hand posted by Jk3a regarding pocket kings. Hand is found here!
DC shorts are short content bursts brought to you by DC Labs. Roughly 1/4 the length of standard videos, these shorts are designed to review single hands, concepts or ideas. You'll receive the most up to date content available and stay in touch with the latest and greatest here at DC and the poker community at large.  The more you post in the forums the more likely it is your post will be the inspiration for a future DC short!

For some reason I think this format suits baluga particularly well. Loving these so far!
I need to rewatch this one because I still haven't decided what the best plan is. IME I just 3bet get it in and if he has a set, oh well. I just don't think this is a spot you can make a nitfold, or try some exotic line OOP - you are playing into the opponents hands almost always by calling. Poker has gotten so complicated, a few years ago you just get the money in here if opponent's not a nit, and don't think twice 100bb deep.
BTW I love a 20 min video cause I can watch one while eating breakfast and it wraps up right about when I do. Long videos I have to come back to 2-3 times to finish (and sometimes don't).

Agreed. It's also nice to use them as sort of a pre-session warm up.

+1 The fact that they don't take long means you still have time to play, but they also get your brain chuggin'.

Another rly cool DC-Short![]()
But @your mentioned scenario:
I strongly agree that on Boards where Villains have not too much FDs in their raisingrange, it is not so good to insta C/F when the 3rd colour comes in on the turn b/c it is the obv. "perfect Bluffcard" for a solid REG.
I am right in my guess that when you decide to continue on the turn (3rd Colour), the only possible line is C/Jam b/c
a.) it makes possible PotEQ from Villain folding (OnecardFDs, str8draws...) + we capitalize so the deadmoney in the pot
b.) when we C/Call here again, it is not too likely that Villain would continue his possible bluffs on a riverblank B/c we could also have in our perceived range (in his eyes) some flushes after B/Call F - C/C T (especially the bigger ones)
Bonus-question:
how you would play on the turn
a.) a low FD which you B/Called for any reason on the flop and which now improved to a flush?
b.) the nutflush
i hope/can't wait to be able to think like you. very good theory and explanation.
the more of these the better.
thank you
Thanks - I really enjoy these 'Shorts', as they give me something to think about without having to sit and watch for a whole hour. (short attention span?) Keep up the good work Baluga Whale (and other DC producers)!
