Villain is 41/25/2 over 2k hands. He's a big loser in my database, but usually starts off playing tight then opens up and tilts off a lot later in sessions. He often plays drunk, but seems to be coherent with his typing this time, lol.
We played one pot where he donked 3 streets with 86o on a T742Jr board and I called him down with T8s. He berated me for it for awhile and then this pot came up. He was beginning to call my preflop raises a lot more.
Do you value bet this river? If you are, what is your bet size given the stacks and what range do you give Villain given his turn+river line?
Villain has about $700 left on the river.

I want to check behind, but I tend to be timid on the river.
At first glance his check seems like he's either giving up or going for a c/r. That said, the K is an interesting card in that he could reasonably have hands like KQ/KhJh/AhKh/AQ?, or something that might pay you off, but doesn't really want the pot to get much bigger. OTOH, those are also reasonable hands for you, and he might be looking for value w/ a big hand.
I don't think that either of your hands has been very well defined yet. So, if he's really paying close attention, the biggest factor is probably your read of his read of you (or something). From the history you mention, he has reason to think you're a station and his check looks like giving up. Has he, or you, been to showdown w/ any really strong hands recently?
Anyway, where there is so much room for error, and there are some clear reasons to check behind, I'd just give my head a break and see what that turn c/r was all about.
Also, sitting this deep in this situation is so profitable that the prospect of flucing it all up for the sake of a thin-ish value bet seems marginal.

I bet $195.
I doubt villian checks a straight or KQ here very often. On the turn he could have lots of drawy hands like KhJh, AQ, AK, QJ, ThXh, all kinds of crap. That river looks pretty weak and I just want to get decent value.
If he makes a gigantic allin raise than i probably cuss and pitch it.

given the fact that he's spewed with bluffs i doubt he's gonna get too tricky with his big hands. he'll probably just pound the pot and hope you call.
On the other hand, I don't really want to face a c/r, and he won't call you with the air that makes up a big part of his range, so maybe a checkbehind isnt a bad idea. The point about keeping the deep stacks with him intact is good, too.

I had to use all my time bank for this one, it was a really weird spot.
I thought that...
A) The K could have helped him if he floated with Jh9h/KQ or he had KT. I sort of thought KT wasn't in his range though since he made that weird little C/R on the turn.
B) When he is semibluffing or pure bluffing the turn, he is definitely capable of going for a river C/R or C/C with his made hands and folds all his whiffed draws including most Tens+draws when I value bet.
C) Players like this always like to give you AA or AK and when he checks the river K I think he expects it to have hit me and that I'll bet that card a lot.
D) His turn C/R is w-t-f weirdness and it smells funny
I checked back. It all made sense now.... he showed Qc6c. Hurray for brakes.
Agree with you guys, Sanjuanworm's point about staying deep with him is very very good stuff. I didn't think of that.
