at the time villain was 30/24/2 over 76 hands , steal 42%

$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
CO ($213.80)
BTN ($250.35)
Hero (SB) ($237.45)
BB ($197.00)

Pre-flop: ($3, 5 players) Hero is SB QClub QDiamond
1 fold, BTN raises to $7, 1 fold, Hero raises to $25, 1 fold, BTN calls $18

Flop: 9Heart 7Club QSpade ($52, 2 players)
Hero bets $30, BTN calls $30

Turn: JClub ($112, 2 players)
Hero bets $50, BTN calls $50

River: THeart ($212, 2 players)
Hero bets $132.45, BTN calls $132.45

My old plan would be 40$ on the flop, ship the turn.

now I've started to bet less because I do it with bluffs in this exact spot aswell. Should I be choosing a different betsize for value or should it be dependant on board texture? Maybe I should be more as a default, like 35 to 50 in a spot like this.

What betsize should I pick for the turn, I feel like 50$ can induce action and we can shove river if it only gets called. Should I bet more on the turn because the board is so draw heavy?

On the river I ship it in because all 2 pair/set hands will call me.

What is your betsizing on all streets?

yeah bet more on the turn... that is one of the worst turn cards... i'd make it 85- 90+ here...
i'd also bet bigger at the flop... around 35-38 looks good imo

flopbetsize is fine imo, but on this board texture you really need to bet bigger on the turn.

Flop betsizing is great, I wouldn't get into mixing it up here for value/bluffs like you were asking.

Turn is where you can size based on board texture and since the Jc is one of the worst cards we can see, we need to be betting more like 80-95 here.

That would leave us with about $95 left on the river (villian covers) in a $300 pot which we shove and he calls off most of his range.

dude i don't think he ever has a set here (unless he has TT) and all 2p hands are folding - and if they're calling they should call with almost any pair imo.

I agree with what other ppl are saying about the rest of this hand.

On the flop you want to balance with air + with this specific hands inducing light calls/float or bluff raises is fine Smile

flop is fine, bet the turn bigger, as played i'd prob ship the river unless I feel like my opponent is good.

i dont get this,
i feel like id have to bet this small on the turn as well, because otherwise OP just couldve bet bigger on the flop and shove the turn.

would the turn bet be this big just to protect the pot? because the effective stack thats left after a 90$ bet is a joke

I think that's kinda the whole point - it'll make the villain make the crying call even if the board runs out scary with hands worse than ours.

one question tho... a K is in his range, can we c/f river here? or are we committed to the pot with 132 left?
