i really like that you had a list of topics to talk about. well done!
Watch as Josh (sthief09) single tables $1/$2NL as he continues his series on how to make the transition from Limit to NL. He covers how to attack dead money, get involved correctly preflop, make the correct bet and raise sizes and many other topics a Limit player needs to win at NL. As a former limit specialist who made the transition and now plays NL exclusively, Josh is very familiar with the skills to begin crushing the NL games.

I've been a member o' DC for a week. I gave the video a 5 mostly because you addressed ways to take down dead money.
I'd like to add the check raise bluff after I call a raise oop preflop, something I rarely do to begin wih. I believe you say that you like to do this with backdoor draws, gutshots and overs. Do you generally not make this move if an A or K hits the flop? Are you just about always doing this against opponents with a high CB %, like 80-90 %? Also, what happens if you get called and don't improve on the turn, I assume you will normally just give up on the bluff in that case.
I'm very enthused about DC and have already seen a change in my game. I'm more aggressive preflop, isolating and 3-betting more. I look forward to learning all sorts of situational moves like this check raise, which I've pretty much never used before.
this guy is trying to teach and went all in with q9
Hero is on the SB w/A
A
BU oRaises, Hero 3bets, BU calls
Flop ($50) K
Q
8
Hero cBets, BU calls
Turn ($$$) J
Hero shoves
Do you really think that final shove is ok? He has not so many worse hands for it to be profitable imo
youre right. definantly a lot of 2pair combinations, set possibility etc that beat him. was definantly not going to get called by a worse hand in that spot
yeah I agree, though this vid is very old and the games might have played differently. I also used to 3-bet like 10% back then so I'm sure I got a lot of action. I think something like 1/3 pot could work here, calling off the rest. Assuming there's about 1 PSB left, I think we have too much equity to fold, and checking lets him check his worse hands with outs.
Hey there. i really need a video that teaches me the fundamentals of online poker. Canu recommend anything ?
also, how can i learn to read poker stats. your stats have no words so i have no idea. thanks a lot.
wow @ how bad everyone was back then
Hi muddy, take a look at this guide http://www.deucescracked.com/forums/7-Research-and-Development-/topics/28164-DC-Video-Guide-Updated-Se .
For the hud you'd usually have vpip/pfr/afq on the top line & then a mix of cbet, f2cb, 3bet, f23b etc all underneath somewhere.
In the future you'd probably want to start your own thread asking for advice rather than posting in a vid's comments, especially a vid that's a few years old as most people will be watching the more recent stuff
Actually here's a more recent guide http://www.deucescracked.com/forums/7-All-About-DeucesCracked/348821-DeucesCracked-Video-Guide
