nl100: AQ in bvb - how aggro?
Opponent was 32/20 after 90 hands. 3bets about 14% of the time. how do you play this in bvb?
i like 4 betting, but then it's going to suck if he shoves pf.

I was lost pf though, so comments on both streets please.
probably 4 bet PF, and if there is any history, even be willing to get it in.
this may be a bit aggro for nl100, but i like 4betting more than i like calling against this guy and playing OOP, and once you 4bet you will actually be getting a decent price and its BvB so he can justify so shoves w/o the nizzuts

hmmm no
im all in
as played c/f.
4b/call pre.
90 hands total * .32 VPIP = 29 hands played
29 hands * 20/32 = 18 hands raised
1/7 = 14%, Villain can not have 3bet more than twice, likely only once.
What kind of hands have you seen Villain show up with in the raised pots they have been playing? Is the Villain positionally aware?
Preflop is fine. 4betting/call is ok too - 4bet/folding I'm not a fan of.. it seems spewy.
Just fold on the flop?

Any reason why you would consider 4bet/folding against any villain? Can you give a player type against which this is the best play?
I can't think of a situation where I want to 4bet/fold AQ against anyone - I would either call/fold to the 3bet or 4bet/call with AQ.

Yeah, 4bet/folding AQo is imo almost always not the best option. If villains range is weak enough where you can 4bet AQ his 5betting range is almost always weak enough to call.

I agree but Manchild's post suggested that he might do sometimes. So I was wondering what his reasoning was behind this.

I think Manchild actually suggests here that once you 4bet you're priced into calling a shove, because you're getting good pot odds and it's BvB and people sometimes lose their minds.
