Hi guys,

I talk online to a lot of people and yesterday I had a conversation with a guy who showed me 2 pages of math to determine the "perfect" size for a 4bet when he plans to 4bet/fold. He assumed a 3.5BB openraise, a 10.5BB 3bet and some x.x% ranges. Personally, I think this is nonsense. 3bet sizes vary (I consider 10.5BB too small), ranges vary (he had non-polarized, unreal ranges) etc.
Now, when watching videos like unconventional wisdom there's vanessa, one of the biggest winners I suppose, saying "I'm gonna 4bet to like, umm, 56 or 54, doesn't matter all that much." And I think she's right, those differences in 4bet sizing improve your edge by 0.x%. Is it really worth the time making those calculations? imo there are a lot of spots which are more critical to winrates and need to be focused on instead of some 4bet sizing. What do you guys think? Im just wondering if I am actually missing something by not doing that wizard math things...

when you think about how long it would take to figure out the perfect 4betting size, you are probably missing out on an opportunity play more tables and increase your win per hour
