Interestingly enough I just played a deep live 2knl hand recently vs a good thinking reg where I bet/bet/bet and got jammed on on the river on like a low connecteded board. Very similar spot to this hand.

And what did you do? ![]()
Deep poker is for degenerates. This hand terrifies me.
You are getting a great price, but that is by design. This deep, is it really that criminal to check back even strong overpairs? I mean assuming you have jj+ is this not exceptionally thin? That said I think I click call with jj+ but expect to lose a LOT.

?
My experience is that people don't expect you to fold overpairs and they are much more willing to slowplay deep since there is so much barreling and a checkraise at any point before the river in a 3 bet pot makes his hand look so strong that it lets you off the hook easy. I doubt villain is a 5/10 reg who thinks "ok, here is what I am going to do. I am will wait until this kid 3 bets me and then bets 3 streets before I CRAI and steal the pot. Yep, solid plan."
So, you are beat with one pair too often to call here. I think call all boats. fold the rest.
