shoved 8Kish on the river. started the hand with 10-11K...

By the river i put in what 4020 and i remember it being about 6k for me to call which would mean he had like 10'020 to start...

im a bit drunk right now so that might not be right..

Question: Is he's only ~8k deep? You say he shoves just under 6k on the river....unless he's only raising to 6k and has 3-4k behind?

after i bet 2k on river it was 6k to me to call he shoved.

I'd be careful when assuming this villain is thinking on your level. A call with any 1 pair hand needs him to be able to turn a made hand into a bluff and while it's possible I don't think it's a given. And if we thought he was able to do this we should consider c/c all those 1 pair hands on the river. Another thing, is he really going to give you enough credit to fold an OP here getting 3 to 1 when he doesn't know you b/c that's a pretty big level.

I agree with most of this

i kinda think a lot of people fold Big pp to this shove it is for 150bbs i know we are getting good odds but you can buy a lot of mc donalds and such for 6k... for him to be bluffing i guess he would have to be pretty good and have some balls both of which im moderately confident he has

What do you think he thinks about you? I'm sure he's aware you're not scared of the money.

Um thats hard to say because as ive said we hadn't been playing long few hours at very most probs more like one (hard to keep track of time in the casino)

I would say he thinks im tricky able to adjust well wont let him get away with a lot and wont back down or be scared to 4bet most of that is standard though maybe he would think im capable of calling light not sure on that though becuase if he thought that he might not turn a PP into a bluff here.

I think hes probably aware by this point that im a reg at similar stakes online i could obviously be wrong about that though.

Disclaimer: I am a micro donk.

What types of hands are you putting him on preflop?
Since you have recently 4bet him, dont you think it is likely that he is 4 betting his strong hands and bluffs to retake the aggression.
I dont think AA and KK are in his range.

It seems like his hand is face up 88-JJ maybe QQ because you are so deep pre.

I just don't think he has a reason to bluff jam the river with these hands.
For bluffing to be good. He has to think you are folding without a boat.

The board is so dry that I think it looks retarded for him to try and bluff here.
Has line seems really strong. i think he is full here. ( maybe i'm scared of monsters under the bed)

Your physical reads seem to be completely different from this logic.

I think I said this before at some point but yeah I'd call JJ+ or QQ+ or something like that.

Essentially I'm saying I think that he's capable of turning a pair into a bluff and that 88 != AA here.

I click live call, what range do you think i have? what range do you think he has and what range do you think he thinks i have? + whats the worse you call with...

i think you got totally owned here. how it played preflop, on the flop and the turn i'd put you on a big over pair (JJ - AA). and i think villain was thinking the same.

on flop and turn, villain could have sets or worse over pairs. on the river this all changes. you can't discount him calling with something stupid like exactly 4 6s and i'd even go beyond stupid like A 2s.

but yeah, the only worse hand i'd be calling here is AA and KK.

can you tell us or pm me the results? i'm really curious. thanks.

Interestingly enough I just played a deep live 2knl hand recently vs a good thinking reg where I bet/bet/bet and got jammed on on the river on like a low connecteded board. Very similar spot to this hand.

Deep poker is for degenerates. This hand terrifies me.

You are getting a great price, but that is by design. This deep, is it really that criminal to check back even strong overpairs? I mean assuming you have jj+ is this not exceptionally thin? That said I think I click call with jj+ but expect to lose a LOT.

My experience is that people don't expect you to fold overpairs and they are much more willing to slowplay deep since there is so much barreling and a checkraise at any point before the river in a 3 bet pot makes his hand look so strong that it lets you off the hook easy. I doubt villain is a 5/10 reg who thinks "ok, here is what I am going to do. I am will wait until this kid 3 bets me and then bets 3 streets before I CRAI and steal the pot. Yep, solid plan."

So, you are beat with one pair too often to call here. I think call all boats. fold the rest.
