Are you going to release a new book soon? Can we get some insights about it?
i'm unsure exactly how i'm going to package it-- probably free for everyone who already bought the book originally.
at least 7 new chapters, including discussions of leveling, dealing with different kinds of ranges, some updated theory stuff with reasons for betting, and more.
Gotta write more, though.
Andrew
Hey baluga, great stuff as always, you the man.
One question about the QJs hand on table one.
What do you think about squeezing with blocker value? And what's your general take of 3betting as a bluff with blocker value with hands like KJ, KQ, QJ and such?
the problem is, by definition, its pretty hard to bluff (because people aren't really going to fold too many hands better than QJs). They may fold Ax or Kx, but given my read on the button opener, i was too afraid he 4-bets those.
Andrew
sort of. i basically expect him to play face up to my turn raise, which lets me play perfectly (and aggressively into what is likely to be a wide range).
Andrew
Isn't this sort of a leveling thing? I mean he's repping a really narrow value range with his double barrel and so are you with your minraise (even more narrow to be honest), so how sure can you be that he doesn't just jam AQ there on the turn?
OR as played when he calls the turn minraise couldn't he still be holding a hand like a big Ax and be in a bluff-catching mode?
And thanks for the great series once again!

Nice! As an owner of the original book I'm really looking forward to this.

JT on table3 hj v bb, 7633A, you give up cos it's a board where he's gonna play back a lot even with A/K-hi and if he doesn't have those he's hit the board.
A minute later on table 4 siraj gives up with JT on 76648 btn v bb, you don't like it and say it was a great spot for him to be aggressive and fire multiple streets because you don't have anything on that board but he can.
What's the difference?
well, i'd say that both spots are good spots to either shut down completely, or get crazy aggressive. both are fine options.
