nuts,
ty. Glad you liked it.
jim,
Glad you don't think I looked like an idiot. I like my line, just think it looks kinda stupid in retrospect realizing that villain is a massive donkey.
FWIW, I do think he was probably calling the river raise with a straight, but who knows.. the guy's a donkey.

Are there any value hands in this spot you would bet this small with, or is it just the fact that villain is not the best player out there and probably doesn't do any handreading or something?
I'm not balanced in this particular spot. But there are similar spots where I take this sizing and I'm always strong and others where my range is fairly balanced. I think it'd be pretty much impossible for my opponents to realize when I'm doing which.

I agree with Jim. Even if he's really bad he might not call with a straight which as you mentioned is really surprising that he even show up with that. Looks pretty good, no beration here (real word?).

Hey Noah,
I think that given your assumption that villain is going to cbet ATC here almost always, that a check/call is a line that is a lot better than a lead. Now you risk getting raised by better hands while air is just going to fold a lot. If you check the air will bet, you call and you can perfectly rep Ax on later streets and win from his air. At the same time you keep a lot of money behind if you do hit and he managed to flop a monster.

You say, villain can't have a really strong hand here. Why that? I mean, two hands before villain has checked and you also gave him the occasional slowplayed very strong hand. Couldn't this guy just play the same way? I mean, it's not the likeliest thing in both cases, but a balanced range should have monsters in here, imo, so does I overlook something?
