I bet I missed this discussion in some other episode but could you elaborate a little bit more on when and why we minraise the btn instead of making it 2.5x? When there's shortstacks in the blinds it's kinda obv but when I minraise with good regs there I just feel like I get played back at a lot more and this can be quite hard sometimes since we open such a wide range from the BTN and has to defend a lot with not very good hands.

I minraise the button a high % of the time when I have tighter regs in the blinds, even if they 3b some % they usually don't defend/3b enough to stop me from profiting. I am always capable of adjusting if they do start playing back, and once they stop I'll be back to raising every time again. It's a constant dance and it's something you should do if you can get away with it. If the table set-up is right for it, and if you're comfortable playing marginal spots postflop. If you're not, practice Smile Not everyone likes the minraise on the button but it works very well for me and my game.
