guy is generally straight forward in 6max, dead money HU because he folds too much and plays basically his cards.

he probably views me as way overaggro and maniac, i know it means hes gonna call more often but he has seen me having huge hands often enough.

thoughts on turn? I know he can c/r top pair and bet the turn for value.

on the river i feel like he's either trying to induce a jam or is b/f two pair.

Anyone likes shoving? Does the flushdraw on the flop mean its worse to shove?

If you shove the river youve got bigger balls than me. If he has two pair I imagine he would check call the river?. My guess is hes trying to induce a shove and i think the fact the flush draw is there and he thinks youre a maniac he may be able to talk himself into a call even if he doesnt have the straight. Is there any chance he has a busted draw here or that he may just have one pair? The hollywood move is to shove but whenever i try anything like this opponents seem to call anyway.

Shoving is bad IMO unless you are positive he folds 2 pair.
Also I cant really see 97 betting the river again, if he hit river we can still profitable call turn (where he had 10 outs) and call this river for this price.

The more flush draws he has in his range the more this becomes a call. The less air/bluffs he has the river is a fodl.

If you had the 8 would you raise here? I think a lot of players would just call as they wouldnt expect to get called by worse and could potentially run into q8, kq. I would prob just call if i had the 8 unless it was really aggro match or villain is a complete drooler. Is raising the river with the 8 standard here?

Hard to come up with much two pair he can have, no? I mean, J9s and 97s, but that's only 2 combos each and he likely goes for a c/c on the river sometimes. I like just calling. Seems like he should show up with a whiffed FD or QTs often enough.

Would you consider it strange if he played JT like this? (Turn and river)

I think he is c/r fds alot more then sds on the flop given your image.
In fact he prob never c/r a sd vrs you here.
I still think he has a busted fd enough here to make a crying call he's obv not value betting worse.
I think fwiw he shows up with a flopped set alot here but I cry my eyes out and call anyway.

if his biggest leak is folding too much, his range is going to be reasonably value-heavy, no?

what do people think about reraising his flop raise to 1k? for value?

I think your hand is underrepresented which makes life difficult
