I've been running some calcs @ ProPokerTools concerning the river call of the first hand. If villains have random cards in the hole we have 68% equity for the low. If 1 player has split aces and the other starts w/2 low cards we still have 56% equity for the low w/our made 76. If both players have split Aces we have 85% equity for the low. And I think the most important one is even if both players start w/3 wheel cards we have 28% equity for the low.
Granted these numbers do not reflect the adjustments you should make based on the action.
Another point - I don't want to be results oriented and say well look these guys were both going for the high. But I'm sure this could be quantified as well and taken into consideration on what odds you should call w/on the river. With the way the hand played out for the players to continue the way they did their high hand couldn't be much weaker than the Aces that they had. This would be read specific I believe. Would your opponents cap 4th and 5th w/Kings, Queens or Jacks in the hole?

I do agree with you in the video, and I say it's a call in the pot that large. As for teh the Kings/Queens/Jacks

Would your opponents cap 4th and 5th w/Kings, Queens or Jacks in the hole?

I am going to say, I have NEVER seen this when someone has a Ace door, even the most aggro of players slow down.

Well, that's true, but villain always has outs to scoop assuming he has at least one diamond in the hole, since the KDiamond would then give him a bigger flush, or maybe he has a straight flush out. But the important thing is that we have many more outs to scoop, which makes 6th street an obvious jam.

Nice Video.

I have one point: On the last hand he actually has to pay you off with a worse hand twice as often as he has to have a straigh cause he raises with that and we can't fold. So we lose two bets to the straight and only get one from his 2 or 3 pairs.

regarding open completion from the bring-in: what are spots to open complete here? i can't think of any except for heads-up or shorthanded tables.

Very good point. That makes it closer but I still like a bet vs most opponents. It all boils down to the read that lots of opponents will raise 6th with any made low, so the fact that he just calls 6th means many opponents are likely to have two pair.

There arent any really, even HU and SH, bringing it in for full is somewhat pointless.

You don't really lose two bets against a straight, because your plan is to check/call the river. So you are only losing one additional bet by bet/calling.

On the other hand, if you check/call, there is the possibility that your opponent may bet his two pair (particularly, aces up) for you. So you only lose a bet against two pair by check/calling if they have the sense not to bet the river against you.

I don't play stud8 but that first hand was infinitely entertaining.
