at 17:05--This guy’s stats were 20/11. In retrospect I think the flop is a fold just because of the sheer fact that he most likely has A2 or A3 which dominates my backdoor low draws.
It is proper to call in this spot if I could specifically put him on AAxx which would mean his pf raise stat would be something like 3 percent.

at 40:00--The turn call here is a huge mistake. I've played this game for 7 years and even I still misread lows.
The problem with having a live 3 here is that the highest card on board is an 8 meaning that a 7 low (for example 4-7) beats my live 3.
If, on the other hand, the board was A246K, a live 3 would be the 2nd nut low. On this board, however, 34, 36, 37, 46 and 47 are all better lows than my live 3. With the flush coming in on the turn and with a guy behind me calling with the 6th nut low here is really bad.

Bart,
Nice video on O8. I'm a convert over from your Deuce Plays podcast. I'm a beginner to the game, and am going to enjoy watching and learning. I really enjoyed the format. Pulling up equities in 2dimes worked well. If you remember during the next episode, can you explain the HUD you work with and the abbreviations?
Thanks for undertaking this series. I look forward to the next episode.

Also, try commenting from the timeline by pausing the video and using the "comment from timeline" button. That way your time stamps become links to the appropriate spot in the video.

I tried to do that as I have seen those timestamps in other videos. I can't find that button. I am on someone else's computer this weekend using IE.

Sigh....live players......jk
When you pause the video while watching it on the browser, 3 options will come up - Copy Link to Clipboard, Comment from Timeline, and Make a Note. Select the 2nd. If you don't see these options, they might be minimized, in which chase just look at the bottom of the video, right above the play button.

Cool, if this is an indication that DC will be more actively producing content for live players (yeah, there have been a couple of good series) now that this brave new world is upon us, that's really welcome.

Duhhhh, just realized i'd misread the title. Oh well, obviously i hadn't gotten around to watching this yet (2 weeks ago i was just so depressed about living in the US that i was grasping at straws) but i still look forward to any O8 content on here.
