I have a general theory question. The hand where u have JJ on the AQT board u check back which is very standard with sd value in a spot u cant get value. MY question is what if u had a hand like K9s or 77 that technicalyy has some SD vaue but is going to be very hard to get to sd profitably. When i learned about SD value i started to always check back SD value but lately have been checking back when im at the top of my SD value range and betting when im at the bottom of my SD value range bc of bc i get hands w/ equity to fold and some times get ppl off better hands.
When What are spots that u decide to bet w/ sd value and times u decide to check back.

Alot of times you cant get worse hands to fold but also hands w/ equity folding is good for u too. A spot that comes to mind is c betting KQ on A72. I realize u never get called by worse but its a board u are going to pick up the pot most the time and protecting ur equity in the pot. I think often matc flow and history can make these spots go either way but of ten i find myself torn. Any advice would be great.

I agree that there is a lot to be said for the vulnerability of your hand in determining whether or not to bet w/ showdown value. You shouldn't consider strictly the immediate showdown value on the flop, but rather the likelihood of your hand still being best by the river. To illustrate this point, I'd say you should be far more likely to cbet a hand like 22 on TT5, than a hand like AK. 22 may be the "stronger" hand at the time, but it actually has less SD value, due to how easily you can get counterfitted.

my question was more about general spots and that was just a broad example so i didnt think it was necessary for this but in the future NP.

Your tangents are actually of great value because, although specific hands are good, your theoretical 'tangent-talk' does, in effect, help with more specific hand situations; It's really what its all about.

When you talk about double barraling with draws 150bb+ deep what would you say is good barraling cards 100bb deep? top pairs for example rather than draws?

Do you put any value on bet sizing tells vs certain passive fish? In the QJ hand on top right, when they pot flop and either pot or shove turn, or min raise flop / pot turn when you are the preflop raiser, I find it to be a highly reliable read that they have TPTK or better every time.

Difficult to quantify I guess, and harder if you literally have no reads, but just wondering how much value you give to bet sizing tells vs random fish who sit with 50bbs.
