KRANTZ and Wladimir sit down and recount the 2M2MM shoot and then they talk strategy as Wladimir plays one of his students at $3/6 Heads Up.
Two months. Two million. No problem. That's Team Israel's goal for the summer in Vegas. Watch Jay help hit it. This ongoing series is an in-depth look at his life during the shooting of whitelime, flawless_victory, Ansky and KRANTZ's forthcoming reality TV show (filming in Vegas this summer and airing on G4 in late August). Jay will play and analyze hands he's actually playing while on television, using an aggressive bankroll management strategy to climb from 5/10 and 10/20 back to the nosebleeds. Can he make it? We have faith. They don't call him pr1nnyraid for nothin'.

Just one comment.
I liked the vid....but I found it annoying that vlad kept partially interrupting Jay...maybe vlad was abit too keen to share his thoughts...a small quibble but I think it works better if you give each other some breathing space between comments.
other than that...I liked it.
enjoyed the vid! have to agree though, there is about 20 times Jay is about to explain something and Wlad keeps cutting him off or finishing his thought for him. Other than that, 5 star video.
Enjoyed the video, looking forward to part 2.
hey guys,
sorry about interrupting jay in the video. was difficult for me since its my first video and i also was a bit nervous ![]()
If you guys have further questions about certain hands in this video let me know.
Also more stuff is coming soon =)
Let me know which site you wanna see me play on. I think lots of european members want some euro site such as ipoker?
euro sites FTW
no problem Wlad the content was excellent - please keep making more videos, maybe some six max 2/4 on FTP
on the Js8s hand in 3 bet pot on 5h8h3d7d7s board, villain overbets the river. I'm wondering why you guys put his range as mostly overpairs rather than trips 7's that checked the turn as pot control. Seems way more likely that a hand like 97 would check the turn rather than an overpair checking the turn.

this was an awesome video! Looking forward to see more from you soon. What about a partypoker vid? I would love to see that ![]()
Love the video! Would love to see more of Wladimir, he is a really good teacher. I
Just echoing the comments above, good vid but wish we'd heard more from Krantz.

I agree otherwise, but he really was interrupting KRANTZ a bit too much... But he seemed to notice that himself... so I'm eagerly waiting for more videos.
I'd love to have more NL400 or NL600 HU.

Hey Jay,
Wanted to get your feedback on the hand where we have the 78hh. Although I am not going to disagree with the pros you have for raising the flop, I still would be a lot more likely to go ahead and just flat here. I have spent a lot of time thinking about just how often we should be putting a lot of pressure on our opponents in these types of situations aka we are OTB 200bb+ deep.
There is no question that from a theoretical perspective raising a bunch of flops against a reasonable 3 betting range (15-20%) should work incredibly well, particularly if you are the type of player that can get a good feel for your opponents range if they call the raise and make good decisions on future streets. But I have found that in practice, my results when I raise in this type of situation, particularly on a texture such as this where its reasonably hard for us to have many 2 pair combinations (rarely gonna show up w/ many combos of A6 or T6, even less likely to raise 1 pair for value on this texture), works pretty terribly. I feel like I a) get 3 bet here quite a bit, and usually feel that shoving w/ a gutter or something similar is just too spewy or b) get called down v. light aka Tx+ will correctly almost never fold.
Because our range is so polarized in this spot, a lot of good hand readers know there is only a minimal equity difference between Ax, QQ, or Tx in this situation vs our range. And balancing here is pretty tough in that raising w/ the intention to get it in w/ AQ or AJ w/ these stacks on this texture seems so poor when compared to calling than it seems pretty hard to justify the deception/balance gained from raising when compared to how theoretically superior it is to flat here for reasons you obviously understand.
Sizing in these types of situations have always been an area of interest for me as well. W/ most standard 3bet and cbet sizes we can get easily get the money in here by the river by making a smallish 2.2X flop raise 200bb deep, but I am always kind of paranoid that w/ these stack sizes even a v good player doesn't recognize this and instead says "well if he had 2 pair+ he would def make it bigger knowing I'm unlikely to fold Ax anyway". I mean of course when we actually have 2 pair+ then were golden, but as u know we have a gutshot type hand infinitely more often than the nuts here. And making it 3Xish his cbet size seems dirty as well. It gives us less room to make a play at the pot on future streets and obviously we are giving ourselves a much worse price on our bluffs.
I guess I should mention that I am referring to mostly HSNL guys who are aware of some things your opponent in this match may not be, which could make raising here better but not against a 10/20+ HU reg. Anyway, I know I didn't really ask a question, just thought I post some thoughts that I'd like to get your input on, and hopefully the DC community will get something out of it as well.
gman - the one comment i have is that a lot of those suppositions are kinda just based on feel and not practice (i.e. you know you are not repping much so you shy away because you just anticipate a 3-bet before it comes)... you are just not going to get 3-bet that often in that spot and if you are by a particular player you can just jam the gutshot over his reraise for some tremendous fold equity some of the time.
it's a spot where you are bluffing or you have one of those really strong hands that will raise... if you're not known for spazzing out vs continued aggression with air you're just not going to get 3-bet by strong hands (except maybe mid set sometimes) because you're on air or the nuts... if the flop had a flush draw i don't raise as often because then you will get 3-bet more frequently by all Ax hands and draws
Awesome video, but Jay's audio quality is pretty horrible.
