I def don't mean to imply that he never has these hands.. just that they're much less common than the other hands in his range.
Yeah, in the vid I think it comes off that you think he rarely plays JT/QJ this way preflop (like when you say "once in a blue moon he has JT"). But I think you're saying that there are so many combos of other random crap (like 87o, A4o, etc) that made hands make up a really small portion of his range.
I really liked this video and the format. Oh and that overbet on the ten high board was fucking sweet btw. Coach me??

Hey Noah,
Eventhough i'm a big fan of sweat sessions type vids i really enjoyed yours. I like the hands you selected for this episode and your thought process is usually dead on.
Can't wait to see next episode!

I'm a bit wondering about what you consider his range to be when it's not hit anything here. I mean, there are lots of air hands like Q5o or any stuff. Still, every 9-K beats you here, so that just low suited or off-suited connectors as well as pockets (which are no total air) and small aces won't beat you. But you say, you're surprised when you see that he's got A3o which makes the range even smaller.
Maybe, you could explain this a bit.

You say, you would raise/stack off with a hand like AQ on the flop because 99 does have bad equity vs. his draws. But at the turn, no draw arrives and he checks, so that you conclude that his range is weaker now. If you are suspicious of him c/r there, isn't this a good spot to bet/shove again? His equity has fallen down because of just one card left to come.
Or is it because AQ also blocks strong made hands which 99 doesn't?

I think he's just gonna have a lot of medium and low connectors and one gappers, like 56o, 46s, 58s, etc. I don't think it's that surprising that he showed up with A3o, and I wouldn't be totally surprised if he showed up with Qx or Jx or whatever, but I think enough of his range is just low crappy cards that river would be a call if he bets.

Yeah.. looking at this hand again I think the turn's a pretty clear bet/call. Oops
