The whole series has been presented as Stud Hi, but has actually been Stud Hi/Lo. Not sure why.

One of the reasons why there is such a jump in equity from KK to AA is actually because we now hold another two blockers to their low draws and runner-runner aces (or pair a buried A when they have a hand like A6|6).
You can see that the equity of a hand like KK|J is almost as high if there are two dead aces.
stud 8 vids on DC!!! moar plz

As shown in these simulations, playing high pairs in stud-hi-low is difficult to do profitably with an unimproved hand on 5th street. Even improved hands on 5th street may be marginal holdings because of a potential informational disadvantage, reverse implied odds, and opportunities to be freerolled by an opponent who has already made a low or has a better, well-disguised high hand.

On 5th, the 235 board is always betting when checked to. As was mentioned, who cares about the other guy who has bricked twice. Check/call is completely standard.
^^ spam alert ^^ (probably don't need a button for that, as it doesn't happen much)
00:24:05 Isn't this a fold since a 8 completes from utg+1, and he's likely to have QQ+ or 88 in his hole? Because it's kinda unlikely him raising 3 lows with an 8 open from that position (especially with so many low cards out).

Oh, you'd be surprised to how wide this xx|8 range is. I do say it's raise or fold, I really hate calling in this situation there are no merits to calling here.

I also have to add that xx856 hit the 6 on 5th so he has to make a gut-shot to have us crushed and with all those cards dead to make such a straight, this is unlikely.
