Great video as always. but i think there is an editing error in minute 22 second 45.

Also, I saw the three videos made by TT and are very good too. Good work TT.

Yeah, I guess that did get cut short, but only by 1 second, as he bets and I just show the fold. Must have happened in production somehow. BTW, my "board lock" example is really what it called a "transient board lock" as my opponent can still beat me, plus I failed to mention that if he could also catch a 6 to beat me. However, the example is solid for its purpose. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I think it is in the schedule for reproduction to our new format, but I'll have to double check. For sure there is no release date at the moment.

Oh and did everyone get the board-hand wrong?

I did get it right, but only in the very last second.

Good videos. You have a very clear style. And the pics are nice Smile

Perhaps it exposes my status as a stud baby, but I think the method of reading hand values by looking at them as a number is brilliantly simple and makes the process of evaluating hands quicker and clearer.

Thanks for the vid.

Thank you soooooooo much. I misclicked and played a RAZZ SNG and won it by just always raising. I had no clue what I did, or why I even won.

I then watched your video...while playing some microstakes cash RAZZ. And OMG the games are soooooo soft. Definitely look into this.

Running a calculation w/ his range of (9-8-47J) is a bad way of pointing out your equity. Only reason i say this is because in this exact situation i would expect a 3b on fifth to have a draw at no worse than a 7. If this player is a maniac however he could have anything, but i dont think you referred to him as a maniac...just a holdem player. You are still a favorite in this situation if he has a A2, A6 or 26 down. So this would have been a better calculation of running equities (though i know you said range) vs the top of his range which i would expect him to have after putting in 3 bets as he did. The calculation you ran is more at the bottom of his 3 betting range imo. This situation was a bit cut and dry just for the fact that you both hit bricks, but i would have even raised him if he hit a 9 instead of a J.

1. There are two decisions here, the raise and the cap. If our opponent is decent at razz we'd expect her lead bet to indicate a wider range than her 3-bet. So the wider-range calc is interesting to me because it helps demonstrate that we were very correct to put in the initial raise.

2. However, our opponent may not be experienced in razz, which was Joe's read. She might well 3-bet any made jack, figuring that we're just irrational or suspicious. ("JoeTall's just raising because he figures I paired. I'll show him!") She probably started with a 9 or better, but the 3-bet wouldn't indicate a good redraw, just some sort of made jack.
