Assumption-dependance. That would pretty much be like this (although a little extreme, but that's how I like it), right?

My opponent is aggressive so therefore he must 3-bet light in position. Because he 3-bets light in position, he must have seen a video by some guys who 3-bet light in position! Aejones 3-bets light in position, and this guy has watched aejones’ videos, so he must also be able to merge his range. That means that my opponent, when he shoves the river when all the draws hit, probably also merges his range here with 4th pair, 11th kicker. I call.

I remember in episode 3 or 4 you asked for some feedback and comments for the videos and I had forgot about it until now. I think you have a very strong grasp on poker and improvement and this series has helped me in some specific spots too but more importantly it really helped me open up on self improvement and self analysis of my game. All of the concepts you bring up are critical and I watch the entire series on day of release and I also have it saved on my ipod for long drives and other random stuff for review. I constantly refer friends to DC because of the quality of videos and as of recently this is one of the series of videos I recommend to all SSNL players who ask "what videos will help me get better" because almost all of this content is simply beneficial for everyone. Keep up the good work and I really hope you continue making lots of videos in the future -- looking forward to watching this one while I eat breakfast, thanks!

at about 33 min u are saying that we can take some info immediate as far as recognizing extreme play and some tendencies that exist independently i get those, but what about recognizing when someone is unbalanced, is it all about number of combos he is repping ? if its really low and he is betting how we can say he is unbalanced ? i might misunderstood this concept so it would help if You could give some example when u can recognize that someone is unbalanced, juts some random hand history, couse i find it hard to fully understand how we can say immediately "ok he is unbalanced in this spot"

good question

often from a frequency you can begin to infer the basic and fuzzy beginning boundaries of a range. when something is clearly outside that range, he is unbalanced.

for instance, some guy has been cbetting basically every time (and you've folded). then you see that he checks AA on 422r CO/BTN. this guy is unbalanced.

why?

because he is cbetting constantly yet elects not to bet one of his better value combos. he expects you to fold often and is trying to play exploitively (unbalanced) because he believes there is more value in letting you catch up/bluff than in betting.

is this bad?

not necessarily. there is basically a tug of war here between this hand and 'shania' AKA his range, balance, etc. he may increase his EV in this hand, but he reveals he is trying to take advantage of your perceived leaks in extremely obvious ways. --> this is essentially your red flag that someone is unbalanced

So basically after we see such thing, in this particular hand we start to float or raise his c-bets more often right ?

and one more point, he made himself unbalanced in one way (his c-betting range became weaker) but he also made himself more balanced in other way (his checking range became stronger) by adding more strong hands in his ck range, so basically he sacrificed one line to the other right ?
