Would you be 4betting the QQ here if it were 100bb deep of would you still prefer flatting to keep the villains ranges wider?
Chipchucker5 takes us along for his first sweat video. He does live commentary as he grinds 4 tables of 400NL.

What do you do here if he shoves since you're pretty far behind his shoving range here i guess? do you insta call or is it more some kind of a 4b with blockers?
Very good video, really liked it. Seemed to make it look easy. ![]()

It's pretty player/gameflow dependent. If it's against a random who has a decent amount of air in their 3betting range OTB, then I really prefer flatting since there will be a lot of crap in their 3betting range (A3o, 97s, etc) that we really want to see a flop against. However, if it's a tough opponent that I see pretty often, and/or I've cold 4bet once or twice this session, then cold 4betting seems like a good option. The logic being that it's good for them to see that QQ is in my cold 4bet range, and they may decide to 5bet light w/ like 99/AT if I have a bluffy 4bet image.

I'd be folding w/ out a good read that he's itching to 5bet light on me. The reason behind 4betting is because we have the blockers to AA, AK, JJ. But yeah, AJ is def at the top of my 4bet/fold range, and there are def some situations where I would 4bet/call, but this wasn't one of them.
The quality of play and explanation in this video is incredibly good.

I totally agree, after watching this vid it seems like there is nothing easier than beating 2/4 games full of regs!
Very, very solid video.
Highly recommended!

A great addition to DC. Obviously a very good player who describes his thought process in a clear and concise manner. Hope to see more from you.
Really enjoyed the video. A couple things I thought were interesting: 8:39 on table 1 you 3bet KQo button vs highjack against staringelf. Is your reasoning there mostly just that you have blockers to his value hands and this way you prevent the blinds from squeezing you out of the pot because at least I would assume you're getting called pretty rarely in this spot by a decent reg. So basically if we can assume most regs will pretty much be 4bet or folding wouldn't we rather have KQo in our calling range and 3bet more random suited hands?
There was another similar spot on I think table 4 where you 3bet KJo button vs cutoff where I pretty much use the same logic I explained above. Would rather flat KJo and 3bet K2s if I expect him to 4bet or fold (which I think is a pretty reasonable assumption vs most 2/4 regs.)
edit: both hands we were in position, I think 3betting OOP makes a bit more sense (at least to me) since it's a lot tougher to play OOP without the initiative.
Excellent video!
Your avatar always cracked me up when I was (silently) railing your tables. Very cool to have you as an instructor here at DC, and not only be able to see your avatar but also get lessons from you ![]()

I agree it is pretty "lol" to see pros half-stacking multiple tables but imo most pokerstars pros aren't really top-notch cash-players with a few exceptions obv. But they usually have some sort of celebrity status in their country or won some local high-profile stars-sponsored tournament afaik. So that's maybe a reason why he's more comfortable with a shallow stack coming from a tournament background.
His table-selection is also pretty meh.. ![]()
