Great series. One must wonder though... somewhere in the darkness... is a new warrior still patiently waiting?

yes, waiting longer than i thought, soon though...
when someone is 3betting a very high amount (25%+ or so) at around 100bbs deep you advocate 4bet jamming some pocket pairs. Are you 4bet jamming only part of your 4betting range and 4betting other parts smaller (AK and monsters etc) or would you be jamming your entire 4betting range so a smart opponent can't just figure out what you are doing?

There is more merit in jamming the smaller pps because they suck postflop and there is enough crap in a 25 % 3bet range that villain has to fold to a 4bet jam to make it up for the times he does call with a hand that's better or a hand we're flipping against. Also, you want to 4bet smaller as a bluff to either get villain to fold a wide 3betting range or for value to snap off villain's 5bets.

I would imagine that you would have to be 4bet jamming just part of your 4 betting range: basically small pockets because you don't want to be jammed on when he has like qjs and then have to call it off flipping when otherwise he would have just folded his equity. You're still doing decent against his calling range and he is still 3betting enough to make this decently profitable longterm.
Also occasionally 4 betting something like ak because the jam looks so much like a small pp that he can level himself into calling with something like kjs, or at least discourage him from calling with this hand for the times you do have small pockets.
However, most of the time you want to be 4betting most of your value range smaller so that you can bluff there profitably too, without risking too much each time
hey foxwoods fiend,
at 9:30, on the 3rd table (j10 vs 99) what are other hands apart from a j do u shove for value on the river?

I know why we jam, and I know why we 4bet smaller, I was just wondering if we have a split range where we are jamming some and 4betting smaller with some, and as requin touches upon we jam the smaller pairs to folds out overs etc and his 'air' that still ahs equity. Requin touches upon how a villain could level themselves into stacking off w/ QJ etc, though if we are jamming 22-77 but going smaller with the rest of our range to induce 5bets can a smart opponent exploit that?
Probably a pointless question, I dunno, I just never tend to 4bet jam at 100bbs and I've been playing a bit of hu at 200nl and most regualrs run over me 3betting over 20%, so this video has been very helpful. I like the general advice of giving them rope and just playing a solid game

I feel like Requin covered this pretty effectively: if you just jam JJ or AQ or AK from time to time and your opponent can't just snap call your jam with AT or KJ, you don't need to jam the monsters every time to keep the guy off guard
So yeah, your jam will be weighted towards pocket pairs but you have to jam big hands from time to time also

there were a lot of hands going on here: do you mean the one where the board paired the 9?

i would probably value bet 88+: it just seems like he has an underpair to the J or ace high, i think he check/calls most of that range on the J turn because i'm giving him a good price to peel and then on the river I think he expects my value range to be very polarized and for me to bluff to represent trips or a backdoor flush enough that I can probably get a hero call from him if he has 78, A7s, AK, etc

yah - monotone diamond flop, you c/c JQ, turn 9 and you lead out
