Each platoon has already been selected. If you didn't sign up in the volunteer thread while it was open, you will have to wait until we get things rolling with this massive project before we will be accepting new volunteers. Stay tuned

You are confusing "first squad" with our First Recon Squad. They are not the same thing. If you volunteered when it was open and filled out the survey, then you should be set.

sorry, and although i hate to admit this, i am still confused... so, I filled out the survey that was sent out by DJ Sensei, but have not been contacted since. I assume that i am just not part of this "first recon squad," but will be apart of this eventually?

Correct.

Nope. Although I suppose once everything is going, 'participant' will be the correct term, and 'volunteer' might refer to people who signed up but haven't responded or participated after being given assignments. Lets hope there aren't many of those!
