gman, are you sure the math @ 23:23 is correct? i mean, 42,93% of the time we win 10bbs that are out there, HOWEVER, our hand (AQs) will matter only the other 57,07% of the time and will have 53,47% equity in the pot, meaning that the final ev calc should look more like

0,4293*10bb+0,5707*(0,5347*200bb-100bb)

Just a disclaimer, Gman's math was a little odd - when people do FE calcs, they generally take it from the moment we face a bet, in which case the EV of folding is 0. He did all of his calcs as though we were including our initial bet as part of our analysis, so the EV of folding after having bet would be (-Bet), which will make it seem a little odd.

However, the results should be correct because he accounts for the (-Bet) difference in what he calls the final EV. I'll get one of my cronies to double-check, but I am pretty sure that they are right.

Once he wakes up, I'm sure he'll clarify for you guys.

Hey guys,

Yes I realize that I notated my math a little weird, but rest assured the numbers are correct. Notation in math classes was never my strong suit, so I apologize if the way I wrote out the math is a little bit confusing.

As for the hand mentioned above, yes, 43% of the time we win a free 10BB, and yes obviously our hand is irrelevant in that situation because he folds.

Yes the way you wrote on the notation for the other 57% of the time is more clear, but we come up w/ the same answer anyway.

Remember we have a net gain of >14BB instead of 11 because every time we just fold to the 3 bet we lose the 3BB that we opened w/ (even though in reality we would never fold AQss to a 3 bet against this player)

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy this.

On the 4 bet bluffing example aren't we risking 21 to gain 13 since we've already invested $3 into the pot,so the EV on a 4 bet bluff should be +4.5BB.
Anyway this is an awesome video and will go a long way in helping my heads up game. Keep up the good work.
