I like to download videos and play them through my dvd player on my TV but it only supports DivX/XVID computer video files and was wondering if there was a reason some videos have WMV video files uploaded instead of XVID?

Making XVID files instead of WMV in the future poker videos will be greatly appreciated by me and I'm sure others also. Thanks

Hi naymlis,

Unfortunately we won't be providing XVID compatible videos as the demand vs. the amount of time to support another encoding standard isn't feasible for us. Currently we use WMV files as they are the most easily supported by the program we use for recording (Camtasia), and MP4s as they are easily watchable by Linux, Mac, and are also supported as in-browser viewing in Flash. If you want to try converting the downloadable files I'd recommend downloading the MP4s (highest quality) and using a program like http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ or a DVD burning program from Nero to convert them to a format that works better for your purposes.

thanks,
Rob
