Hi all,

I am quite new and have not had the chance to be overly active as of yet in the forums.

I am considering of taking a trip to Las Vegas during next week or the week after. Have never been there and it will really be a long flight. But i think it would be a great place to visit to have some vacation for about a week, a week and a half.

My question is if there is any chance to meet some DC members when i am there. Would be really nice to meet some of you guys.

Damn you kinda missed the peak time... you just missed WSOP when lots of DC folk are milling around... and even having fun things like Bowlaments.

Well my vacation starts today so i didn't have much of a choice Still think it would be fun to make that trip.

Vegas will be empty save for locals. Tons of stuff to do there though.

What? Vegas is empty in the middle of summer? Is it the heat? I always thought this would be peak tourist time.

It picks up in the fall, summer is too hot. Generally slow in the hottest and coldest months.

However the 'slow season' is still pretty busy.

Weather wise yes, but probably cheaper in other seasons. If youll just be playing poker than the weather is basically irrelevant.

Avoid NYE, holloween, labor day, and other busy times. Vegas is crowded, expensive, and unpleasant.
