I want to travel round Europe while playing poker (mostly online) and would just like some opinions on it. Its not a big deal if I spend/lose all my money and have to come home its really just for an adventure and something fun to do.
What would you say is the minimum amount of money you would need in total (roll and expenses).
What would you say is the minimum stakes (nlhe 6max/hu) you have to be playing with a fairly average winrate.
Where should you go?
Any tips
Thanks

It depends somewhat on your comfort requirements. You could do it on virtually nothing, but it probably wouldn't be that enjoyable. I would estimate something like 5k playing NL50 being the minimum, but I could be persuaded that's wrong.

What languages if any do you speak and what sort of stuff interests you?
If you plan to move around a lot over a short period of time Euro rail pass is worth a look. http://www.eurail.com/home
Only English (poorly tbh).
Interested in doing a good deal of hiking and seeing different landscapes and nature compared to here in Scotland.
Would like to see all the different cities and famous monuments and get a taste of different cultures.
I would like to be on the move a lot, no staying in the same place for more than a few days but not sure how well that will work out in practise.
Yeah I'll have a look, thanks.

I imagine I would be staying in mostly cheap hotels and would like to try camping. Not sure exactly how good or bad I would cope with uncomfortable living arrangements but I guess that is part of the experience.

Austria and Switzerland could good for hiking if you like mountains, maybe the black forest in Germany might be worth a look too?
The only amusement park I know anything about is the Tivoli gardens in Copenhagen because some Danes I knew online would always go on about it, no idea if it is actually any good and Denmark is supposed to be a bit expensive.

Your big problem is playing online if hiking / camping is finding good connections and also remember France Italy and Spain you'll need to play their sites because of laws, though I could be wrong on that. You just trying to escape our lovely Scottish summer... Ie rain lol

Tivoli Gardens is outrageously expensive and not worth it if you're on a budget. There will surely be hostels along the way that have wireless.
As for general travelling advice, I would strongly recommend against breezing through each destination and be constantly on the move. It is excruciatingly tiresome and you can't fully grasp the local flavours moving from place to place so quickly.
I am currently doing a trans-africa trip by car and I plan to play some 100NL whenever I can, just trying to make 500-800 a month so I have enough to live on and still have a roll to play on when I return home. I think the best thing to do it estimate what your winrate is, how much money you'll need and how many hours you need to play per week/month to support your lifestyle. Playing while you're on the move is more difficult then you think imo.

Yeah it might be too exhausting for me to be on the move all the time but I will sort of pace myself and adjust as I go I guess
.
That sounds awesome man. How long have you been doing it for and what has been the hardest part of doing the trip?
