Thoughts on the finals so far?

To be honest, all of Durant's first four fouls last night were either obviously not fouls or high questionable calls. And him having to sit easily could have been the deciding factor.

i can't stand miami and i am sooo against james he is just sooooo not a clutch player. but i have to admit that so far they are really playing great and it's going to be very tough for okc.
i think if they win the next game and get home court advantage back, that they will win game 5also and it's going to be tough for miami. but if miami wins tomorrow i think it's game over for okc

Yeah his 4th foul was really BS. That cost OKC for sure. I'm also a Lebron hater and would like to see OKC win the series, but it's not looking right now. I think they have to win game 4 or it's all over.

Wow. Just watched the video. Maybe one of those was a legit foul, and I'm not even sure about that.

love durant and westbrook but i really cant see any other way then miami winning it...
obv james wade and bosh are great, but the fact that shane batier is so hot helps a whole bunch

i hate miami for what they do and how they act and everything but like from a technique-basketball perspective lebron is prolly the best and most complete player ever. on offense as anyone can see easy, esp vs doubleteams, but also defensively, esp versus the big scorers as durant with fronting them. when battier continue to hit his shots and/or chalmers makes solid plays like in the bostonseries miami gonna prolly win the series.
i HOPE though that okc can win one on the road and somehow win the series. but it seems like everything has to work for that to happen...durant further as good as he is, westbrook like in game 1, harden like in game 2 and collison, ibaka etc in good form. this is think where they can gain advantage. miami has 3 of the 4 best players in the series, okc has 6 out of the best 9. and a better crowd...if the series should go back to oklahoma
noone cares about nba in germany. how are the finals received in us media? also a lot of lebron and heat hate there?

same thing where i live nobody cares about basketball.
i wonder though, why do everyone hate lebron james ?
he looks like a normal decent guy when i watch his interviews...
ok he left cleveland to go play w wade & bosh, i understand that, they want to be winning championships etc, but why is everyone alwayz giving him a hard time ?
is it jealousey like with christiona ronaldo ? i understand why people hate ronaldo, hes alwayz complaining & acting stupid, but never seen james act like that, whats up with that ?

haha but one of the fouls actually being a foul isn't a big deal. The fact that multiple fouls were BS and that he had to sit allowed miami to cut into the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter.

i totaly agree with both of you, i mean the big three could sometimes score 35+30+25 and miami would still lose 110-100 i use to hate them because they didn't play team basketball but now it seems like everybody has their role in the team and battier chalmers haslem miller... they contribute a lot and this year they have great chance to take it down.
as far as lebron goes i don't like him for two reasons. first it's all brute power and raw force (don't get me wrong, he is great all around player) and all of his dunks it's just pure power nothing else and no finess. and second i am a huuuge jordan fan and all this comparison that he could be the next him is just ridicilous. as far as i have seen he is great but he can never be the best, cause he has no ego and he is to soft. and all that passing last year when he had open shots for the win and he would rather pass to someone else, i mean if you want to be the best you can never do that.
so i think i don't like him just because everyone adores him and i think he doesn't deserve this. but non the less i think he is awesome, definetly top 10of all time. but i still hope they lose Smile
and for the publicity, i am from slovenija (central europe) and there is also no big fuzz around here, it was for hockey though because kopitar was the top scorer for kings when they won stanley cup Smile

Jordan played when handchecking wasn't a foul, and still averaged more than lebron. If he played in the league today and got the calls that lebron gets, where the slightest touch sends him to the free throw line and where an arm on the defender is a foul, he would have averaged 37 a game easily.

Jordan also shot something like 55% in game deciding shots. Obv lebron shoots way below his overall shooting percentage when the game is on the line.

Lebron is a great talent with great skill, but he has nowhere near the heart and competetive mindset that the great ones had.

Can you even fathom Jordan calling up barkley and ewing or bird and magic and saying "let's form an all-star team?"

To be honest, I don't think everything has to go right for OKC to win. In fact, I think just one or two things have to go different, and that actually everything has been going right for the heat. I mean, they've been getting every call and Durant got in foul trouble the last two games, their shooters have been on (e.g. battier), Lebron actually made a big shot for once in game 2, and yet they still only squeaked by in the last two games. It's far from over, and from what I've seen Miami has had to play their best possible basketball along with getting all of the big calls (and getting a ton of BS calls in their favor) in order to win by a few in games that have been down by the wire.

Yeah, lebron was super popular before he screwed over his hometown to form an all-star team instead of taking on the challenge like a true competitor, then threw a concert celebration and proclaimed that they would win 7 championships easily only to continually choke in the 4th quarter and lose to an underdog in the NBA finals, and then tell NBA fans that they still have to go back to their shitty lives while he gets to live it up.

exactly that. but it's funny how there is nothing in between, people either love him or hate him Smile and yeah leaving cleveland for miami absolutely caused that

well this... thats what i mean when i say from a basketball-view. i played basketball by myself on a very high level in germany, what prolly still sucks for american standards and just his athletisism and speed and strength etc is just unbelievable.
also i have to correct my "no one cares in germany"-statement. last year when the mavs won there was a huge dirk-hype, but as soon as finals were over, hype was over and since the maves were so bad this season, now noone cares again. after finals last year there was big celebrations in dirk home town (where i went to university at this time) and dirk took a whole day for fans etc what was pretty awesome
dirk got so much more that what you call mindset that lebron is missing and jordan obv had big time. with the jordan best player of all time thing i agree, but not that clearly, because the level of the game (say defending, strenght) is higher and closer today; an average nba player is so much better than 15 years ago imo
