Does anybody know what are these stripes that some of the players have on their neck and arms like couple of croatian players had yesterday?

I'm wondering this myself. We see a lot of this in tennis as well.

If Georgio Chiellini doesn't play for Italy, that will be a huge loss on defense.....Also I think Italy need to score first against England if they want to win....

And if they want to make a chance please don't send Balotelli into the field. Terry will drive him crazy and he will have red within 45 minutes.

I think if Balotelli can keep his cool like he has been so far in the tournament he can still do great things, ...England is a very dangerous team, they haven't lost in five games....

So much for that. The Germans could/should have scored 8 yesterday, but man that back line looks scary bad. I certainly don't mind the lack of defensive quality from a spectator's perspective, but it seems like nobody has a stellar defense.

That's what I've heard too.. only managed to see the last five mins before the penalties unfortunately..
And once it was down to the penalties, I was like 90% sure England was gonna loose..
Why tha F are they so bad at penalties in big tournaments?

Petr Cech is czech and Drogba is Ivorian... Smile
I am afraid Italy will be a huge problem for the German defence, I can only hope that they keep up their lack of effectiveness.

With England rightfully out it's the natural instinct to support the likeable underdogs, but none exist. So, it only remains to root for the team playing the best football. Lets do this thing, Spain.

I made the same conclusion when Denmark was eliminated. However, my tiny flag is waving for Germany. Smile And for some reason, I think Spain will lose to Portugal.

germanny & portugal are playing way better football atm, spain is probably the better team, but they arent showing it this year

the thing with Spain is that they dont have to play their best football to win this, for now i think Italy is playing really good given their potential, germany was pretty poor in first half against grecce i think Italy is going to be in the final, and portugal is kind of unpredicteble, they will have their chances against spain but i think they wont get in to the final so

Italy - Spain IMO Smile

i must also say that its pretty fair those 4 teams are in the semi finals, and also two very very interesting matches to watch

If Italy are going to beat Germany they have to score first. If they don't score first they are going to be in trouble. I feel like at times Italy does everything but score, they need to put one in, preferably in the first half. Historically speaking Italy has a good history against Germany, however I think Germany has a better offense than they did in 2006, it's more explosive.

Ever since Portugal lost to Germany they have dominated every game they have played in, and Ronaldo is a man possessed scoring three times and hitting the post four times. Spain will dominate possession, however if Ronaldo's shots go in the net, and not off the post Spain could be in trouble. Honestly I think each semi final game is a coin flip.

if you think both semi finals are a flip better bet a lot of money on italy and portugal

waw, this game was the most suprising thing in footbal since chelsea won the champions league Smile
what im trying to say is that i really didnt expect italy to be this strong - and also germany to be this weak in the semi finals.
i expected spain and portugal to play a close game, to bad portugal couldnt score in the first 90min cause it was clear that they wouldv had a verry hard time in extra time.

anywayz congrats to italy, im ruding for them in the finals, pirlo & super mario deserve it !!!
