i dont think you understand a lot of the game given that comment...

your way of speaking to people is very unkind. He has his opinion. Nothing is this thread can ever be a fact, besides 'germany won with 1-2' and the length, positions etc of players.

well, i dont mean by pure shots on goal. But they had alot of profitable situations, where they made the wrong decision or no decision at all!

But yes, this game wasent the best at EURO12

I wish Low was not in love with Klose. I'd love to see Reus , Gotze or Schurrle on the 2nd half. They're all pretty fast, and can kill any team on counter-attack. The score was ideal for counter-attacks and Podolski and Muller didn't have the best game really.

The Netherlands was a disapoint. Only Sneijder played almost up to par.

didnt ment it to sound unkind, just saying my opinion (like he said his), if you think the dutch where the best team, or are the best team on paper, you probably dont have a big clue of whats going on...

they had a high % of possesion because the germans didnt mind them having the bal on there on half or just at the middle. the moment they tried to play higher more attacking the germans where closing them down like a dog on a hudle of sheap. they were allowed possesion of the ball because the germans took away there dangerous players like RVP & snijeder, robben came true a couple of times but they locked up the other players. 15min the german lost control of there organization and that was the time in the second half when they were 2-1 but they regained control and after that the dutch couldnt even bring an end offensive.
point being : this match could be player 100 times and germany would still win it 99% of the time.
Only difference in the match couldv been the early goal for RVP,but im still pretty convinced the german would regained control

btw im a dutch fan...

Holland and Germany have both the same quality players. The problem of Holland is that it's not a real team. All good players but it looks like they havent played together for years. (almost all are playing 3-4 years together now). The German team is 70% Bayern so those guys are training together every day. It's not even a surprise Germany won. It's just pathetic that Holland couldn't create any dangerous situation with pretty good players. If you see van Persie playing he is totally the opposite player from the one he is for Arsenal. Nobody knows why this is and how this can be solved. It's time for a new coach and fresh players that want to proof themselfs.

It's not only him. Just think about Ronaldo and Messi. Can't remember seeing them playing the same way at the EM/WM like they did for their normal team. And it happens to a lot of players out there. Özil for Germany is another candidate who fits into it right now

Yeah but Ozil is still very young and played a lot of good games for Germany. And even without him your country has a great team that is one of the biggest favorites to win this tourney imo. Would like to see Gotze btw. But I guess he was injured a long times and not ready to play yet. Anyway, can't wait till saturday since I'm also supporting Poland and they have to win to enter 1/4 finales.

you know that coach almost won the word cup 2 years ago right ?
so what is the difference with 2 years ago ? Imo the defence, boulahrouz; ooijer, van bronkhorst, where those guys at ? & the fact that there attacking force isnt fit or whatever, you can say RVP isnt playing good, but where are robben & snijeder ?
obv the netherlands has an awesome team. They are verry strong induvidually, and i agree, the german team is more collective team (i wouldnt say the german have the samae quality players because snijeder vanpersie & robben are better then the whole german team combined...)
but i dont get the critisism on the trainer, they almost won the world cup 2 years ago
imo its just snijeder and robben that are not good enough the last 2 games wich makes it close to impossible for RVP to show what he can

i think its because of the pressure, def for ronaldo, except for nani there is nobody in his team that comes near his skill level... they think they have to carrie all the weight and it makes them panic & play bad. but i think for lets say ronaldo, its all until he makes those first goals, i think the moment he does he cant be stopped, but only time will tell, messi i cant tell, dont follow argentina, but didnt he scored a hattrick last week against brazil ?

& ozil... he gave the past to the 2 assists of sweinsteiger i think, and he was won of the best vs portugal.
do agree that vs holland he wasnt super, but its not that if he has an offday the whole german teams suffer from it because there are enough players with the same skill as him.

btw RVP scores close to 1 goal in 2 games, thats pretty ok for a striker no ? he obv could do better, i think they would benefit most if huntelaar & RVP played together in a 442 instead of the 433
btw how comes affelay is playing ? he played 5 games this year with barca & hasnt scored yet...
obv he is a great player, but i mean, if you arent playing with your team, how can you be selected to play with the national team (this might be a mistake from the trainer)

Omfg, Poland played just terribly. Either coach sucks, or they suck, or both. They keep playing with the same style since over 10 years. Like in "rock paper scissors" game: against rock Poland keeps on fighting with scissors.

And yeah, Greece was amazing, excellent match!

And that is what we will see today imo.

wow the dutch were terrrrrrrrrrrible again. What on earth happened to their defense? ronaldo could have easily put in 5. Someone needs to explain to me the love of Nani - outside of the wonderful setup on the 2nd goal, it seemed like he mostly dribbled into people a lot. Basically the exact same thing he does for ManU. Smile

because nani might be the most balanced attacker, you should check out how much defending work he puts into his game, and he is a real treat + the fact that he almost have a feet in every goal that gets scored...
but yeaa the dutch were bad...

He'll get twice as many free kicks as the next player by rolling around like a little bitch whenever he feels a gust of wind up his shorts.

I really hope the Italians get done by another totally legit 2-2 draw tonight, would be just too funny.

yeah i hope this happens. would be so funny to see them complain about a normal game being cheated (what it obv will not be) while they have the match-fixing scandal in their own league

Not much love in Manchester either, since most of Manchester supports City.

Does anybody know what are these stripes that some of the players have on their neck and arms like couple of croatian players had yesterday?

ok so all the group matches have been played, who do you guys favorite the most ?

tsjech - portugal : portugal
germany - greece : germany
spain - france ; spain
england - italy : i think this one will be the most exciting one but my gues will be england

im supporting portugal for the win, and if ronaldo can get into the shape he showed last match they will be hard to stop.
obv spain and germany will be the big favorites but spains last match was pretty poor, altough they had like 70% possesion, they alwayz want to give that pass to much and pass the ball into the goal instead of attempting a shot on goal.
