RvP is great vs wigan, swansea and norwch in home games. In important games he is never there mate.

RVP scored 3 goals vs Chelsea, 3 vs Dortmund, 2 vs Man United, 2 vs Liverpool, 1 vs Spurs last season.

Yah, when he plays for his own team where he is the man.
In the dutch team he most of the time does jack shit and he can't perform.

(including qualification for euro 12 & friendly games) but still, pretty good scorer, think he made 35 goals and 15 assists for arsenal this season ?

The dutch people (which is me too) are just pissed that he had so many chances and failed them all.

im from germany and for some weird reason i think we wont have a good result tonight at all
its really who is more to 100%. and i think both are far away because letting get media to them, arguing about things that arent TOO important (van persie/huntelaar, gomez/klose) etc.
player seem to have to justify their game all the time and kinda loose the joy/letting the pressure get to them (kinda like lebron in last season). i think if one of the team for some reason wins say 3:0 tonight in a good match and can quiet media etc and be more confident - whoever this team is can potentially make a great run in the tournament because from a soccer quality potential both teams are in the top3 of the field from what i think

RVP or Hunter doesn't matter, it's all about Netherlands finding their rhytm. If they are finding their pace in the first 15minutes it might become one of the best games in the EURO. Allthough I'm german and love good old football rivalry, i'd rather see the dutch advance than portugal or denmark.
So I guess, in some way, gl Snappie ;-)

the dutch are way underrated atm imo. they lost vs Denmark, but it was just one of these games in which you are just unable to score no matter how hard you try. And that's right now the biggest difference in our group: the dutch really had chances to score while Germany/Portugal both really weren't able to find a working system to successfully attack. Germany has a working defense right now, but you can't really win these important matches by only defending [ok, it worked for Greece and Chelsea]

That said I think in general Germany > Netherlands, but at the moment I really believe it is more like Germany >== Netherlands

The problem of Holland doesn't lie in the frontline but in the defense which i think is poor... Problem with the dutch is always they always think of wining the final before they even have played the groupfase and they find themselves invincible... I am afraid that the dutch defense isn't capable to stop the german or portuguese frontline... Good luck tonight it surely will be an interesting match to watch...

THe funny part is that the players and the speakers are really disapointet..

But if we look back on this game and vs Holland.. Then we should have lost 4-1 and today 4-2 atleast (5-2 almost)

We should be proud of the 3 points that we have now.. because on a normal day ronaldo scores 2 more goals today.. And Holland had 5-7 100% chances that they normally scores ..

But great game..

The should have won vs Denmark.. ANd Holland did have alot of chances in the start of the game, but they where in effective.. (compared to Germany)

It is a shame that we wont see Holland in the playoffs.
- Since they are the best team this year

Holland on Paper is one of the best teams in EURO 2012!
ALso vs Denmark you played like a top team, but was ineffective as hell!

The first 10 minutes vs Germany they had a courple of big chances aswell..
- Then Germany scored on their 2 big chances they got.
Holland then again produced a decent amount of changes, but couldnt score to 2-2

Seems like we were watching different games. I don't know where did you find decent amount of chances there. Even the only goal they scored was kind of lucky.

thats what im thinking. germany was far from topform (eg podolski was not even in the game as it seemed) but netherlands was really, really bad. until the 2:1 i felt like this match could go on for hours and no way the netherlands will ever score a goal

They also where so extremely passive! Letting germany pass the ball around for ages without even attacking once! Like they where 'locked'. Hello! You are behind! Don't play to lose less, play to get even or to win!
