Since the FOX deal the UFC has become way more mainstream. Strikeforce has still some great fighters. Bellator has moved to SPIKE.com and is getting more organized and professional. M-1 Global is still ongoing. SFL in India is just launching with a billionaires backing. DEEP and DREAM and Shooto all going on in Japan. As well as ONE fighting championship in asia too. MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world.

Next fight I'm looking forward to is UFC 145, Apr 21, 2012 JONES vs EVANs. Jones is a heavy favourite to win.

My picks for best in the business:

Well, thats his only hope. His ONLY path to victory is out BJJ'ing JDS. Even then, pretty sure JDS will be somewhat OK as he's in Brazilian with all the best BJJ studs of the world.

On the feet, it's not even fair.

Way too many obstacles for Mir, 1. get a takedown 2. get in position, stay busy 3. grab a limb 4. lock it in and make JDS tap.
He can win maybe 1 in 5 times. JDS would've had a much tougher test vs Overeem.

That situation with Mayhem seems that it makes sense for him to go to Bellator, TUF and the UFC gave him big exposure, and as a well known name he'd sell tickets, but I think he's way past his best, so who knows.

Valasquez looked amazing, sure shout for the title shot imo.

Barnett and Cormier should go to UFC now, Cormier vs Stipe Miočić or Barnett vs Nelson would be great!

Eventually Cormier and Valasquez will have to meet at some point..
