Harveys Lake Tahoe 6 Max Circuit event.

This hand is still messing with my head.

Blinds 1k/500, 100 antes. Hero is UTG with approximately 40k. Hero has A K .

Villain is the sb with about 30k.

Hero raises to 3k, 3 folds sb calls, bb calls. Pot 9600.

Flop A 8 9

SB X, BB X, Hero bets 5k.. Pot 14600.

SB pulls out 5 yellow chips stops looks up at me and states "all in". BB folds.

The table has been playing loose the BB has built a huge stack by calling an all in ott with a gut shot and hitting vs. another player who bluffed all in with A high air! The SB was an older guy who was short stacked and on the verge of being knocked out until he has won a couple of races with the pre flop all in. I swear I tanked forever and folded face up. The SB was just frozen in his seat not moving looking at the flop. The SB commented that it was a good fold. I am still not sure! His hesitation could mean a draw, or weaker top pair? He did shove through my c bet and the BB still to act. I was playing tight. Oh well I lost later when I got QQ in vs. 66 spiked otr. Lol tournaments. Did I loose my nerve here? After playing for hours its hard to call it off with just TPTK. Thank You.

I'm not a tournament player, but with an SPR of 3 vs the SB I would not fold.
Also, I would not fold face up.

Yeah I think I should have called. Was thinking two pair, but probably a draw or weaker ace. He would x call with a set and maybe 2 pair. I don't know.
