First off thanks for the Live Forum.
Now lets talk about live tells and or in game reads.
Here is a good reverse tell you could use vs. a loose aggressive.
When you decide to x the nuts otr pick up your cards as if you are waiting to just flip them over. Like a tap tap scoop lift 3 inches. When he bets tank raise. I discoverd this one by accident. Good luck.

What do you gus think about this (and generally people giving speeches):
200NL live, I have been folding quite a lot, now I open in middle position (cant remember exactly), some asian aggro dude coldcalls and the SB who seems to be a regular (he knows people at the casino) and hasnt shown any aggression yet (but havent seen any SD with him involved) gives a speech: "Wow, the tightest player at the table raises" and smiles and squeezes between 3x and 4x my open.
QQ (if even)+ always I assume (maybe AK because it looks so pretty)?
I mean his statement imo polarizes him to hands that he thinks are kind of invulnerable and air hands that he wants to rep strongly ("I know that you are so tight but I still 3bet, I must have a strong hand huh" kind of thing), but do you guys think light squeezing does occur at all (since I really was folding a lot and 1/2 is quite passive)?
btw big thanks to the guys that implemented those forum names in the "latest thread" thing!

Cool. I don't play NL but it seems to me you can do this only once

The one tell I can reliably count on at least 10 times per session (8/16 at the commerce) is the "menacing check". I learned about it in an old Ed Miller video. In LHE on the river, the opponent picks up chips in his hand and taps the table with the same hand with an attitude that conveys "don't you bet, 'cause I'll call ya". It invariably means that:
1- he has a hand that he WANTS to show down
2- it's weak
So you need to:
1- value bet thin
2- don't bluff

One of my faves is when they shrug shoulders while saying they don't know what to do, may as well call. Always a monster! Then there is the fake grab for chips then ok I'll check. Always dying for showdown.

In a Tourney and we were at the business end. Guy goes all in after a 3B and then jumps out of his chair and paces. He did this several times and showed AA,KK,AK each time, even when not called he showed. It was a bit disconcerting as i was began to expect a different tack one time.. Never happened
Also I'm about to read "Reading Poker Tells" by Zachary Elwood. will report back

Speaking of things you can only do once, this one is really good and will work if you are ready for it - its for playing live cash NL...sometime you will make a big river bet and a "live pro" type guy is going to expose his hand to you before he decides what to do. If you are ready for this possibility you can immediately react to get what you want, what you have to do is if you are bluffing exclaim "dealer that's a call right?" and if you have it say "dealer that hand is dead". The trick is you have to do it in tempo so it doesn't look like you are capable of leveling him, more like its just an honest reaction to the shock of seeing his cards.

This is amazing. I've played a ton of live poker and hadn't thought of this, simply amazing
