Middle of a MTT tournament
Blinds 300/600
Hero: ~15 BB
Villain: ~20BB
Old Guy: ~23 BB

Villain (UTG): Limps 600
Folded to Button
Old Guy (Button): Min raises to 1200
SB: Fold
Hero (BB): Flats 1200 with KcQs
Villain (UTG): Flats 1200

(Note: Old Guy on Button is very loose. Range is very wide. Villain limps a lot and is nitty post flop)

Pot: 3900

Flop: 5s Qh 10h

I shove my 13 BB stack.
Thought process: I think this is for value, Nitty Villain will most likely fold if he does not have nuts and Old Guy has been obnoxious and will call with any draw and possibly hands like A10 or JJ.

Nitty Villain insta-calls, Old Guy folds.

Villain shows trip 5's.
Result: I'm driving home.

How do you guys feel about my pre and post flop plays? Is KQo good enough to flat here or should I have reraised? Is shoving with that many draws a high EV play post-flop? I have been second guessing the move.....

*FYI, very novice in my game. Kind of newbie. Hopefully I don't sound stupid LOL. Thoughts, please...

I think if he's raising that wide, you should be reraising/shoving PF.

Try to post stack sized preflop too if you can, it's really necessary..

shoving pre is def. the best play. Once you get on the flop, shoving is certainly +ev, meaning better then check fold, but if the old guy is likely to cbet with air, then check raising might be better
