We are like 7 handed, and a drunk laggy fish makes it $7 blind from UTG. I make it $23 from UTG+1 with AcQd.

Lady in the BB cold calls me, and the fish looks at his cards and calls.

I don't have a great read on her, and she hasn't been at the table that long. I know she is a math teacher though, so she's probably a pretty smart person in real life. Not sure how relevant it is, but the one hand I saw at showdown was that I opened to $13 with KJs from EP like 6 handed. I got 2 callers in position on me, then she called from the SB with K2s and the drunk guy called in the BB. The flop was A93r and it checked through. Turn was a 2 bringing me a nut spade draw, and she bet $25 with her pair of two's into like a $65 pot. I called, and we checked down the river. Afterward someone made a comment about her calling preflop with K2 and she said she was getting 3 or 4 to one or something. Idk what to take from this other than that perhaps she calls preflop pretty loosely. Also, I don't really have any kind of an image vs. her.

Flop comes AA4dd. It's checked to me, and I fire $40 into like $70. She thinks a bit and makes it $115, leaving herself $68 behind. Drunk guy folds and it's on me.

Keep in mind that AK doesn't get reraised that often preflop in live poker, and that she did cold call a $23 raise with no other callers in front of her. So AK is definitely in her range, and probably some AQ as well. Do you think we can put enough AJ/AT or worse + live spazz factor into her range to get this in or is it a fold?

haha i'm not leveling, but I am on a pretty ridic live downswing. . .

I honestly was thinking it might be a fold. A ton of players in these games would be afraid of AK/AQ here and thus not raise AJ. She also probably has every combo of AK, since preflop she wants to play it but it's not strong enough to reraise. But I can't be sure if she has every combo of AJ or worse.

It's not like there's a ton of money in the pot either. If I get it in, I'd be putting $138 into like $145.

SPR is 2.6 and you flop trips with the 2nd best kicker; I don't think I can ever find a fold in this spot.
Sure she can have pocket 4's or AK but also, live players can and do have Ace rag in this spot often enough to never fold this hand.

I'm pretty confident I would fold AJ here.

MUBS is the #1 leak I had to fix coming up through the ranks and I still struggle with it a bit. With that being said, I shove here all day. What may help you is remember that sometimes live players simply don't have good reasons for doing things, even if they do seem like they would/should. I made a bad fold recently because I just couldn't wrap my head around my opponent's logic if they had a worse hand. Turns out they did have a worse hand and their logic was just plain stupid. Ax makes up such a large part of live players' ranges that there are so many combos here that we beat, regardless of our perceived range and other factors.

^ This describes almost all live sessions up to 5/10. I can't count the number of times I've seen players felt themselves with weak aces.
