First hand JTo I fold pre and don't like the river 3 bet.

AA hand I think the river 3 bet is close / tough spot

QJ hand fold the river you can't beat anything

JTs hand I prefer coldcall full range in the BB there

99 hand I'd really want to fold to river raise but probably wouldn't I guess

AK hand I never cap there pre

rest looks reasonable

Mostly agree with DD, won't go into PF choices.

The 87cc hand, I think you can probably find a fold on the turn? Hard to put him on a range to justify a turn call. As played, I think you can fold the river.

99 hand I call praying to see Qs Up

I would consider a river C/R on the last hand with AK, especially if villain isn't particularly SD-bound.

A few reads along the way might have helped;

The JTo hand was against a weak/poor playing opponent who made tons of bad peels on the flop and folded alot on the turn. I guess the river 3b is probably still not that good, hoping that he has only a 7 and is willing to pay 3 bets with it.

AA hand i guess is close, but read on villain is that hes bad enough to raise any ace for "value" and would never ever fold it when 3bet.

JTs hand yeah i go back and forth, but do i even have a peel here getting insane pot odds or just fold right away? Villain is pretty tight/solid, should almost always have Ax or better here.

99 hand yeah probably looks like a flush slowplaying or maybe even 10x, same opponent as in the JTs hand btw, but i still beat _enough_ hands to call?

AK hand was against 80-40 player which just 3b my utg raise with 42o and 3barreled and just never ever folded ace high on any point.

Does that change anything for you DD?

I guess i could fold the turn with 78cc, but i just cant understand why he would checkraise the flop after 3betting, it just strikes me as fancy play. Also his river 3bet doesnt really make a lot of sense to me without a flush, which is why i called, super surprised to see him 3betting top two there, which i think is too much?

The 87cc hand, even if its fancy play syndrome, I think a lot of his fancy plays (ie FDs & AK) get there on this turn. If he was ahead, we are now in pretty terrible shape. In general, I think his river play is too much, but given we are showing up with 87 here, its probably not terrible.

The AA hand, combinatorically (sp?) he is just as likely to have an Ax as a Qx if he plays all of both, obviously he'll have a few more hands like A8o A2s and not Q8o Q2s, but not sure if this make up for the fact we win 1 when ahead and lose 2 when behind.

The JTs I think could be a fold on the flop. An optimistic stove (I think) puts us at about 12% equity on the flop, but our 2 street equity (where we hit a turn card that allows us to see a river) is only about 8% on the flop.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 12.333% 12.33% 00.00% 7814 0.00 { JdTd }
Hand 1: 87.667% 87.67% 00.00% 55546 0.00 { AA, TT-88, 44, AJs+, A8s, A4s, 9d8d, 9h8h, 9s8s, AJo+, A8o }

Cards we hit that allow us to see a Turn T, J, Q, K, Diamond = 19. Equity when we hit one these cards is about 20%. So 19/47*.2 = 8% equity

With a 1/3 structure in #1, I'm not sure it matters how good your read is. High rake + bad position + one player left still to act + bottom of our range = tossing this in the muck. If you could guarantee being HU it's closer but I'd probably still fold then.

Wow, ive tuned down my vpip over 5% from like 10-20 down to this blind structure (5-10 as well), and youre still saying this is too loose? Not to say that youre not correct about it or anything

Pre Flop: (1.333 SB) Hero is CO with 8 Diamond 8 Spade
2 folds, Hero raises, BTN 3-bets, 2 folds, Hero calls

Flop: (7.333 SB) A Heart 3 Heart 9 Diamond (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets, Hero calls

Villain has lag-stats 33/24, but does a lot of weird, funky bad stuff post flop. Couple of times this session hes defended the bb vs my early position raises and donked out really dry boards with weak Ax, picked up second or third pair on the turn and bet-called down. This river is pretty bad for me, but 10/1 is a pretty good price too

Villain here is 56/5, and really very straight forward with his hands. When he has had top pair or better against me in the past, he`s bet out and called a raise to donk the turn again, or just straight up checkraise the flop, ive never seen him do this line before, which made me think he turned some kind of draw which is why i called it down.

BTN wins 12.287 BB

Here`s some more hands:

Co is a bad, silly 28/20 regular, the type that semibluffs with the "wrong kind of hands", draws with lots of showdown value, fsd raises, etc. Just your run at the mill bad lag. Btn is hyper aggro 33/28 with 23% 3-bet. Standard cap or fold preflop? Big blind has 2 BB`s left preflop. Standard postflop?

BB shows 9 Spade 6 Heart (a straight, Five to Nine)
Hero mucks 7 Spade 7 Diamond
BB wins 11.825 BB

Villain here is laggy, and as you can see, very spewy. Standard?

BB shows 7 Heart 7 Spade (a full house, Sevens full of Jacks)
BB wins 12.772 BB
(Rake: $2.37)

Villain is a typical loose passive fish, 64/3 stats. I just find these types of flop donks to be really weak, and even against his turn 3bet i figure i still beat a whole lot of Jx and random spew draws that he might have.

This just went from nightmare to worse with the new hands imo. One hand per thread works a lot better, a HU session might be the exception.

I can see the reluctance to fold the first A7s hand on the flop with the BDFD but I'd still like to let go, not even closing the action (also a crappy position on later streets) It's possible you have the best hand but pretty unlikely...depends on how you construct their ranges. What's your plan on a non-A-non-7-non-heart turn when BB keeps betting?

Otherwise, what they said.
