I was watching you play online while you were filming this video and am pretty amazed at the hands your opponents were showing down. Merge is good.

yeah agree, it's a gross raketrap at say 3/6 and below, though. the 5/10 games are often just as good as the lower ones, or better sometimes.

Not sure I agree with checking back this flop texture. Are we really happy giving all his unpaired air type hands a free shot at turning a pair? At the very least, I think it should be opponent dependent. In particular, I think checking back this flop against opponents that 3-bet good stuff out of the BB pre is quite poor because we just have a ton of value in a flop bet against his defending range.

Turn is an interesting spot. I guess I like checking back again if his turn check means he's very weak and often giving up.

(Right Table) I think raising could be good. Villain should probably be value betting any pair on the river if he's competent. We basically have the best hand in our range on this river. That said villain is an unknown, I don't mind just getting to showdown.

i'm pretty inexperienced at checking back, but his unpaired air has very few outs, and the pot is very small. my gut feeling is that the value of inducing a bluff probably outweighs the risk of letting him hit something. if i were way weaker in my range then i'd be betting as a bluff essentially to try and win it right there.

i'd feel good about raising AK, where my kicker plays. as is, it's hard for him to call with a lot of worse stuff, i think, and all kings chop. he can also 3bet me with 6x or flushes, and i feel like he'd fold 3x, ace high, air, that kinda thing. so basically i feel like there's not a lot of value in the raise. since he's an unknown yeah my thinking was get a read on him, and it will be very useful to know if he shows up with airball here, 6x, top pair, ace high, other

If he can't call with worse than Kx, than don't we have a profitable bluff raise with a very wide range on this river?

yes, i think so, however with all the weaker part of my range i think i would have bet the turn as a bluff, so when i check back the turn i don't have that option as available to me
