$10/20 limit game at Belllagio 10 handed

My first time playing this game, but seems to be mix of aggro pros who isolate tourist limpers pre flop. Post flop, lots of donking into PFR by tourists as well as occasionally by pro's. Many river bets go x/f or donk/fold on scare cards with folds by pro's even in larger pots.

I am SB with pro's in BB and EP.

EP limps villain cold calls (he has cold called with most hands, even for a raise, but has on occasion raised. Plays lots of hands, any two suited, K8+, any ace) hero call, BB raises, call call hero call.

Flop: KClub 9Heart4Diamond 8 small bets minus rake, make it 7 1/2

BB bets, EP folds Villain calls hero call

Turn: QDiamond 5 BB

BB bets, villain raises hero 3bet, BB folds, villain 4 bets, hero 5 bet, villain 6 bet, hero 7 bet, villain looks at dealer with about 150-200 bhind, and asks "All In?" dealer says no, but you can keep raising... villain 8 bets, Hero?...........

I have JSpadeTHeart but sadly no diamond -- have the villain covered, and have a winning image (up about $250 in first hour)

I have played some live, but not tons, but it seems tourists rarely get their hand strength correct.

who keeps raising? and if so, why? who stops? why?

I think a 9 bet is in order

Edit: didn't see that this was a limit game.

The rake is capped at this point, right? What are you worried the board will pair or the flush will hit? You guys probably have the same hand. Maybe he has a set or diamond redraw with his JT. I think it is correct to raise till all in in case he has a set.

well, how many tourists do you see 8 bet with less than the nuts? I figured a set, same hand or JDiamondTDiamond after the 4 bet, but when he 6 bet, I started to think we had same hand.

when he asks about "All In ??" and 8 bet, I started to think JDiamondTDiamond

weights of hands ? hmm, do not know. Online, or with a cap on raise, no problem, but live? Have little experience with the nuts on turn , but facing a possible redraw. Especially vs tourist businessmen.

I've never seen any live player put in 4 big bets with less than the nuts, so I'd be particularly worried of a free-roll when I'm up against a loose/passive.

So, how many bets go in here before we go into call down mode?

Agree with KC, at this point I just call and try to put the rest of the money in on a brick river, probably just leading. If he's happy to jam KK here, I don't see why he wouldn't on a 2o River.

So you're putting him on exclusively JDiamondTDiamond and saying you're going to be getting all-in on any paired river then?

A board pairing river is not a brick. I'd say his range at this point is like 95%+ JT, which includes JTdd, which I think makes us a dog on the turn.

Also, if he has exclusively JT, we don't win anything by putting in any extra bets on any river.

All I'm saying is we shouldn't slow down on the turn if there is any remote posibility of sets in his range.

Stacksizes? But just try and get it in. And why do you call the flop?

he has 150-200 left, and I have him covered...

reason I call the flop is there are 9 1/2 small bets in and it costs me one to see turn. Implied odds seem good based on 'normal' turn action of BB betting, villain doing whatever, and i get chance to raise, or perhaps even seeing a free card if everyone goes passive on scare card Ace?

that is really the question right? the balance of sets vs JDiamondTDiamond

otherwise it would be a boring hand...

Chuck, how many live tourists have you seen 8 bet with less than the nuts?

I actually wonder how I would play this hand on turn in a No limit game as well? If some tourist goes bet/rz/re rz/re rz am I getting it all in? or just calling and waiting for brick river?

He might think KK or QQ is the nuts.

Yeah exactly, if it's a tourist he might not be the best at poker and think 2 pair or any set is basically the nuts
