Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is CO with J Club J Spade
UTG raises, MP calls, Hero 3-bets, 3 folds, UTG calls, MP calls

Flop: (10.5 SB) 3 Spade T Spade 4 Heart (3 players)
UTG checks, MP bets, Hero raises, UTG 3-bets, MP calls, Hero calls

Turn: (9.75 BB) 9 Spade (3 players)
UTG bets, MP calls, Hero folds

River: (11.75 BB) 8 Spade (2 players)
UTG checks, MP bets, UTG calls

Final Pot: 13.75 BB
UTG mucks T Heart 8 Club
MP shows 2 Heart 2 Spade (a flush, Ten high)
MP wins 13.375 BB
(Rake: $3.00)

I was multi-tabling Mix at the time, and just saw no way in which i was ahead at the time. Probably should have looked at the pot size and realised i was getting huge odds, but i thought it was conceivable that i was drawing dead here. (UTG maybe had flopped a set or just not capped an overpair+big spade pre?) Or that one of them had a big spade, and the other a made hand? In which case my one pair was toast. Any help please? Really have no idea how bad/marginal this was, and i think i just gave them too much credit for actually having a hand here.

I hate to say it, but you made a terrible, terrible fold. The flop action does not necessarily dictate you are losing, and you have a redraw to a flush if you are behind to two pair or a set. Meanwhile, the pot is huge and you are closing the action on the turn so you know it's just one bet to you...which means MP is far less likely to have you beat too.

This is a super-mandatory call. I'm not at all surprised that you were winning...but you don't want to include the results in future posts. Much easier to get neutral advice if people don't know the outcome (even though it coulda been guessed here.)

Agree with the above. On the turn you have way too good a price with the chance your hand is still good and the chance you make a flush on the river and it is good.

Assuming a blank river, even folding then would be a pretty massive hero fold that I wouldn't advise anyone making without really strong reads.

Yeah, thanks for the time on the post guys. I think i'm still rooted in my NLHE ways of shitting myself whenever i see massive amounts of aggression. Looking back at it now, it was a totally standard call, and i'm kinda ashamed i mucked it really. Multi-tabling Mix + giving people WAY too much credit is not a good combo. Thanks again fellas, would rather have a lot of smack for it and have honest opinions than anything else.

I'd cap the flop and as others have stated you shouldn't fold the turn given that it's LHE, you have an overpair and a flush draw, and it's only one bet to call in a giant pot. Make some work on your LHE fundamentals a priority, imo, and welcome to the forum.

Less tables and more focus if you make folds like this. Do they have 4-8 on Stars now, wtf?
