The Leap: Episode One by DeathDonkey, BigBadBabar

DeathDonkey and BigBadBabar start off the series with a meeting of the minds over the current state of mid/high stakes LHE and what it takes to be successful in today's games. They use video of a recent four tabling session from BBB as a springboard for the discussion.

Sadly the audio on DDs side is so poor around the 10min mark+ that it's pretty hard to listen to. Not sure if it continues throughout.

Interesting topics.

I have mixed feelings. Why study the game (at 1/2 currently) so seriously If I have to use my fists to get a break even seat at 5/T. Grin Possibly making like ten bucks an hour.

Well, I suppose some money can still be made, so will be watching.

Confirmed, once the play starts the audio is fine.

I also never heard the idea that the FR tables are used more for heads up than the 6-max game creation. Right now, for example, 4 people are waiting at 30/60 6max and the same 4 players are also waiting at the FR tables. Same is the case at 15/30.

I think it may be more a factor that at 100/200+, only FR tables exist.

Really enjoyed this ep and love the series concept. Even though I'm playing much lower limits, this helps me think about how to approach playing one limit above my comfort level.

I assume you'll post in this thread when the vid of BBB's session is uploaded, looking forward to it and the rest of this series!

I personally never ask or give hu at 6max but will ask and give it all the time at fullring.

Really? I have been out of that circle for some time but as I recall this was pretty standard.

Hey guys - really sorry about this, we had issues with my Skype connection and got disconnected a couple times. I knew this particular section was less than our best but I did not want to lose the content. After re-connecting the majority of the video should be clean.
