Villain can have worse aces that have flushdraws, if he has AQ he will raise some of the time, and a 3bet becomes good. Plus its probably never a bluff when the cap comes in, so you can easily fold. I do however think a 3bet is really really thin and problably would never do it unless i have a solid read.

BBB, I disagree we should try to CR vs a good player here, a good player is going to ask himself "wtf can he call me with now?" and check back PPs. Our hand looks exactly like Ace high and nothing else really. I would bet 3 bet and fold to a cap I think if I were playing my best vs another tough player.



I think you're right. I guess I had the ranges skewed in my head thinking that there was a lot more non-ace non-big PP stuff in the ranges than there really was. But from UTG and MP, yeah, I was off-base.

Maybe make it CO/BTN or BB/SB and a river checkraise has more merit because of the wider ranges.
